Phun Phriday Florida Fireplace

You have admired our Florida Fall Color, now you can see my Florida Fireplace.
The past few days have been in mid forties causing me to light my fireplace. (actually Betsy Talking about her fireplace caused me to light mine.)

I can warm my hands and warm up the living room (trust me it works, it brought the living room up 2 degrees in 15 minutes)
I can sit and watch the twinkle of the firelight. (no mess, no clean up! I do not have to take out the ashes OR clean the hearth)

can you picture me with a tiny miniature marshmallow on the tip of the ice pick? It will work, I know it will, I would have tried it but do not have the marshmallows.

My fireplaces sure make the living room cozy. (I have more than one, actually I had FIVE FIREPLACES going this morning.)

YES, I do have one string of lights in my nook, they help with the cozy part.
All of you  fireplace owners that require LOGS and the CHOPPING of said logs, aren't you just a little jealous that all I have to do is purchase candles?

NO, I have NOT tried roasting chestnuts! YET!

If ever there was a scene which tells me "cosy and warm' it is these photographs Sandra. I just love the reflection you have captured in some of these. Maybe I am just a sucker for candles and fireplaces. :)

I've always wished that my house had a fireplace but I must say I like your substitute. Nothing says warm and cozy like a room filled with candle light. Now when do we get to see pictures of you roasting those marshmallows?...lol

I must admit I like the idea of a fireplace that doesn't require chopping wood or cleaning out ashes. I'm very impressed with your pictures of your Florida fireplace.

I love candles...they make the room so much cozier. I've always wanted a fireplace...maybe I'll try your kind.

LOL!

LOL! I had to write that twice because I have read this post twice and I laughed each time.

i LOVE the image of you roasting a marshmallow on there. And I love your fireplaces. They DO warm up a room, don`t they?

I am a bit jealous that you don't have to clean up after your fireplaces. Then again, I think my "fire chores" are the best ones of the day! :o)

Hope you have a lovely day! Thanks for sharing your fireplace with us. :o)

For my fireplace I just turn a dial, It's gas, but looks like burning logs and it can really put out some heat. But from a Phun Phriday! standpoint, yours is more Phun Phor sure.

I love your sense of humor....so fun. And yes, this is definitely a no fuss, no mess, my kind of fireplace. I could almost be tempted, if it weren't for the newfangled invention of the gas log. It is pretty nifty to flip a switch and have instant fire. (I haven't tried roasting a chestnut yet either!)

Hi Sandra, This post made me laugh and laugh.... I love your FLORIDA FIREPLACE.... I knew that George would love it since he is the one who has to chop wood and bring it in....

Bet your fireplaces smell good too.... ha

Great post...

Throw in the hot dogs and I'm there. We could hold a dog over two candles and char both the ends! Now THAT is my kind of fireplace!! And it is so pretty!! You're letting your light shine, for sure!! Oh, love the header!! Is it a rose, hibiscus, I can't tell from that angle, but it's georgous!!

Think you might patent the Florida Fireplace? One day I might have to trade in our fireplace for your Florida version. Right now, however, hubby does the chopping, hauling and cleaning and considers it entertainment! Enjoyed this post so much. The directions your creativity takes continue to surprise and delight!

Just the glow of candles makes me feel warmer but I can't stop laughing at the thought of roasting a miniature marshmallow over candle light. Your fireplace is a lot cleaner and easier to manage than mine.

A few years ago I put a whole bunch of candles inside the fireplace (it was cleaned out) for a party. The glow was beautiful.

The downside to your "fireplace" is that there's no need to call the handsome chimney sweep (who arrives a la Oliver Twistish) to clean the soot from your chimney!! Oh, and how does Santa make his way onto your hearth? = )

Best,
Bonnie

Ah you just crack me up! I wanna see the mini marshmallow roasting!!!! And yes - I would love to have a fireplace where you just flip a switch!!! However, I have a Fireplace DVD I watch on TV and a heat dish to feel the heat..... does that count??? haha

These make me feel warm just looking at them! I think they look really pretty- dancing fire light..I read on a blog where someone was talking about all the snow they were getting- which reminded me of the fireplace I loved growing up. It didn't snow in the area I was from but cold enough to throw the logs in-
