My Daddy played Harmonica and this was one of his Favorites. I thought about it because Tipper mentioned train music on her post Train Music at the end of the Tunnel
Daddy is second from the left, this is 3 of his 4 brothers. Julian is missing. taken 1944
I absolutely love train whistles. Especially in the middle of the night. It's one of the reasons I like to keep my windows open at night because I can hear the train whistle go through Mesa a couple of times. It is so eerily haunting and totally lovely all at the same time. I've always loved trains.
Love that song.... I've heard it off and on my entire life.... Our family was very musical --but none of us played the harmonica.. My brother Jimmy played the accordion. I played the piano --so we had some great family music time growing up...
Love that picture of your Daddy... You have some great memories, don't you? Hugs, Betsy
Love the pix from the past and good memories about the harmonica. It is hard to believe all the spectacular sound that can come out of a harmonica! Thanks for sharing!

My dad also had 4 brothers, plus 2 sisters. Loved that video, got me moving this morning. I can see why it was your dads favorite

What a nice tribute to your father The song is a great one, especially for harmonics.
I love to see pictures from the past, I guess it comes from all the time I spend on genealogy. I remember hearing this song when I lived in the south.

Hearing the trains whistle carried on the wind at night is one of my favorite, most comforting sounds... love it.
