"Drive About"

I love Crocodile Dundee and his "walkabouts" but mine were all "drive about" this past week.
Found this treasure next door to the gas station

Above is an attorney's office behind our library, I did NOT snap this while moving...
One of our local high schools, Manatee High,  won the state finals Friday night, I assume this was caused by that. Could not resist this Drive  By Shoot
Saturday AM as I put groceries in the back of my Vue, a van was parked next to me with a woman, who appeared to be a grandmother, 3 children under 10, all girls and LOUD. I laughed all the way home over this comment.
Grandmother in a super calm voice, said: "your voices are making me crazy, your VOICES are making me crazy"    she did not raise her voice or get angry at all and there was instant Quiet. I drove home pondering what would have happened if they kept talking.

Knowing what young girls of that age are like they probably did keep talking. I hope grandma is okay.

I have seen a lot of things like houses, other type of trees rolled but never palms. That is just too funny! And I love that old truck with the Christmas tree. Your driveabout produced some fun photos!

She is a wise Grandma, she knew how to stop the talking. I love that old Ute.. I believe the old vehicles had great personalities. Hugs.

-grin- I would say that those 3 noisy 'Grands' KNEW what would happen, if they kept making noise. Hooray for this Nana!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhhh, my husband wants to take that dear old truck home and restore it. :-) What a prize that is!

Gentle Christmas hugs,

Don't mess with Grandma, especially this close to Christmas!

I like that old pickup truck. It's decked out very nicely for the Season.

Man, I am crazy for that old pickup and the bench, I need that bench on my patio!. I need to do a drive about like you did and see what I can come up with.

I am guessing that truck to be a 1946 maybe a Ford?

Voices that make a person crazy. I think over a period of time voices like that would make me crazy, but not sure I would say it. I would grin and bear it! Ha.

Lovely walk about, the papering of the house and trees sure brings back memories...

I just love it when you "drive about" and take photos of such interesting things, Sandra! Love the old truck. I'm sure hubby of mine will tell me what year and what kind it is!

Was the old truck in a Christmas parade or something? Love the papered tree. It looks like a few people may have been very happy!

That old truck is great! Before my grandfather passed we towed an old truck to NC and gave it to him. Everyone morning he would drive that truck to the country store and have coffee with his friends. I miss him.
I've never seen toilet paper in Palm trees...funny! Our vehichles were egged last night and I'm not happy about it at all. Hopefully one of the H.O.A. camera's caught something on video.
The grandmother with the three girls is so funny! I would have been wondering the same thing you were.

Great old truck, Sandra... The truck is quite a bit older than the Christmas Tree--don't you think... ha ha

I didn't realize that kids still 'rolled' yards like they used to.. Luckily, our yard never got rolled --but my sons all participated in rolling others' yards ---especially the girls that they all liked!!!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

Simply love the rusty truck and the "rumble seat" tree display. Very clever and fun.
Great story Sandra.
Being around teenage girls all talking at once is a fun challenge.
That's the way my Granddaughters and their friends are when they get together. (:0)

I love the way that old truck is decorated. At first I thought that's what you were using for your drive about...lol
Love the story about the grandmother too.

I enjoyed my little drive around with you.

That toilet paper was funny. Sort of.

And I wish you had stayed there and asked her how she does that!

Oh, I remember starting to take the girls somewhere, and they were arguing over nothing really. I told them two or three times to stop the arguing, or I was not going anywhere...they didn't stop and I just turned around and came back home.
