As I walked to my car after a visit with Rich, I noticed the Azalea bushes that were as tall as my head waving there flowers at me. I yanked the pocket camera out and SNAP! see what I got? the blur was because the wind was blowing like crazy and the flowers would not stand still.
I changed the preset on the camera to Sport Mode and this is what I got, not bad since those flowers were really moving in the wind.....
I will share a WORD Pic that I saw on the way home in our neighborhood
I saved the best for last, if you enlarge you can see the water droplets, not bad for a windy day

2 little girls, age 7 sitting on the curb in front of their
house, chins in hands, a 3rd little girl is pacing in circles in front of them, her hand on one hip, with her cellphone to her ear she is chatting
like a magpie, then waving her free hand in the air
and posing this way and that way, first one hip out then the other and again her hand on her hip.
I slowed to a crawl to watch her and thought I bet her mother does the same thing.

The header was one of my two favorite pictures. I know you will believe this, I have the very same pictures of the very same azalea, You would not be able to tell ours apart. Also the wind was blowing, but I just waited between gusts, I didn't have the sense to turn on sports mode. Notice this, all the stamen tips are silver except one red one, that is my focus whenever I post mine.
What beautiful flowers, your camera caught them perfectly. STUNNING!!!
With or without wind I'm just looking forward to seeing some azalea blooms here. That is a really pretty shade of pink and the water drops make the flowers even prettier.
Bet your right about that little girl's mom.
Smart girl to change the mode.... it's been windy here. Excuse me - blustery as all get out!!!! But we had blue sky today so it's all good.
Love those azaleas!
Very pretty Sandra!

Lovely to see these pretty azalea blooms. My sis laughs about the way her 3 granddaughters imitate their mom.
Nice header! Thanks for the smile....funny how they do what they no doubt see.... The water droplets are really neat....you capture the coolest things with that camera....do you make calendars with you pics? You really should!
Oh...what a beautiful set of photos...gorgeous!
You know...my dog is at the vet hospital. Yesterday I went there and i cried when I left, to come home without him...
I'm sad!
BS
beautiful Azalea's.
Beautiful. I can just see those little girls in my mind. Good news,we got a good layer of snow overnight. I love it.Cam't wait to get dome with my job this morning so me and my cameras can get out there.
No flowers here to focus any "mode" on. Re your comment, I'd actually rather drive than be a passenger--especially on the Chicago expressways I want to be behind the wheel and in CONTROL!!
Best,
Bonnie
Gorgeous!!!
I love water droplets showing. You do marvelously, with your settings.
Ya know, that little word pic of the three little girls, is really, really, really sad. I get used to shaking my head at adults, walking along, totally tied-up in their cell phones, etc.
But when this has spread down to 7 year olds!!! And when the other 2 little girls just sit there and wait for the 3rd to talk, talk, talk... Well, I think we are doomed. -pout-

Great shots, and the color is beautiful. (o:
Not bad, its always that way when you want to get that perfect shot. The wind! You did super!
Wow these pics end up gorgeous! changing the mode made a big difference...love the header too
nice job catching the blooms!
You did a great job of capturing the azalea blossoms on a windy day. I'm envious of your beautiful blossoms, even though it is a sunny and warm day here today.
I will be so glad when we have flowers to practice shooting on! I can't complain too much for we are having a nice day of sunshine and warm temps for February!
Thanks for the tip on changing the mode. I will try that as too many of my photos have been blurry in this windy weather we've been having. Have a great day!
These flowers are beautiful Sandra!
I can see the water droplets and I love it! The detail in these pics are great! I don't know what it is about the droplets on flowers that seem to make them even prettier. :)
Fabulous photos Sandra!
Clever to think of the sports mode, I'll try to remember that. The flowers are beautiful and your word picture - LOL!
Those flowers are so beautiful, you can't really imagine it was very windy. Great shots, I see the drops, that so nice. I love your header photo. I've been doing some drawing yesterday and today, have plenty to work on for the weekend :) Have a fantastic Day!

love that last photo...it is amazing what kids pick up...especially when you notice one of yours has picked up your habits...
The color of the Azazel is gorgeous.. beautiful shots, Sandra.
~:)
Hooray! I love that your thought to use sports mode! We are getting so many blooms for this time of year AND my dog is shedding like crazy.
Beautiful Sandra...
I would have never thought of that. These turned out beautifully.
Pretty azalea. I've had that problem with trying to get flower pictures when it's windy. I never would have thought of changing to that setting. I hope I can remember that.
Azalea makes me think of that sad Australian baby girl who died in the out back. Azaria (sounds the same). Yesterday, after all these years, mum came from USA and dad to change ti charge that she killed the baby. Very very sad, the family broke up.
How pretty...I smiled as I take food photos and steam always gets in my way instead of wind LOL.
I know her mother does the same thing!
So I finally get sports mode - thanks.
And I can't believe what a different mode can do.
Love,
sandie
Nice to see some flowers!
The azaleas have erupted down here over the last two weeks. They are one of the reasons I love this time of year in Florida...About the girl, I agree her mother probably does the same thing!
you did a great job of capturing those azalea blooms!
lovely shots and colour!
xo
Dont-cha wonder what the conversation was all about. Wish there was a picture though I do picture it in my mind.
Pretty good capture with your phone in sport mode.
We had tremendous wind yesterday too. Today its calm and 75*. Totally crazy "Winter".
I can imagine it now...wish you had snapped a pic.
I LOVE azaleas! And this pink is my favorite color, though I would take any.
