Berries and Frogs OH MY

These berries are from Asparagus fern under our living room window. YES silly, they are OUTSIDE under the window.

I know they all look the same but they are not, the focus on on different berries.... that is my excuse and I am sticking to it!

While Snap! Snap! ing the berries, my foot bumped my mothers Frog. She collected everything frog from kitchen curtains to glasses and cups and this ceramic one sat in her yard. he is almost 2 feet long. When she passed away I gave away all the frogs but brought this one home and sat him by the front door and there he has been for 22 years.
He does look just a tad upset with the photographer... remember he was on the ground and I was not.

Those berries are really pretty. I do see differences in the photos and they are all pretty. The focus in the last one is my fav.

That is one very cool old frog. He does look a little upset at the photographer.

The berries are pretty, Asparagus grass here is a weed it is very invasive and hard to get rid of.

Love your Mother's frog! He's upset because you've never invited him inside in 22 years!!!

Love the various shots of the berries.

The berries are a lovely shade of red and are attractive with the ferny leaves.

Those red berries are so pretty! I can see the differnce in the photos. I like them all, but especially the last one...great detail! It must so special to have your mom's frog for 22 years. He does look like he's curling his lip up at you. :)

Those berries are lovely and 'need' to be photographed from every angle. I know I would,if I were there. As for the frog,at that age he can look any way he wants to.

I like your berry photos. The picture of the grumpy frog is also very good. I hope he has forgiven you for bumping him.

A TAD upset, good pun!!! He is quite mean looking and looks like a watch-frog! I guess he would croak if burglars came. The berries are pretty, likely poison? Those needle-like leaves, are the soft or hard and prickly? If prickly, then you should have called this post SECURITY, with the dogs, the prickly plant and the mean frog!! What a hoot!! There would also be the chance that the burglars, being poor and hungry, would eat the berries and get too sick to finish breaking in. Blame all my fantasies and rambling on my new med.

I'm a bit late today, went out for a run after work and now dinner is done as well [phew]. Those red berries looks really nice, and you have them under your window? Nice...What a cool frog :)

That is one grumpy looking frog. Maybe he's bored with sitting in one place for so long.
I can clearly see that in one shot you focused on the berry to the right while in another you focused on one to the left. I like your excuse, it's good enough for me. I used to have an asparagus fern in my house years ago. It ended up dieing because the cat I had at the time loved to nap right smack dab in the center of it

Now I ask this seriously - are you a plant expert - how do you know all the names of the plants? Your focus looks good to me. And I am with your mom - I love frogs. That was two feet long? Phew - he is an oldie but goodie. sandie

Loved the disapproving frog! Berries felt Christmasy, even in the heat and humidity here!
