You would be shocked if they dug up the rest of the fossil. LOL
Now that bone is the perfect size! Yummy!
I wont tell him you posted that sweet pic, he has to keep up his image but we know he is a softy.
That does look like a bone and what a good dental pick. I hope he will share with Baby.
Good to see you are up and about some!!
I'd have believed the prehistoric bone story. :)
ha ha. :)
It's a root!!! Not a piece of the bark of a tree. Gooood!
Thinking it came from a tree limb, was a little scary. But I'm not a doggie person, so I don't know.
Btw, we never could have a doggie, because our daughter is very allergic. But one son has beautiful and well loved black labs. Ruby and Summer. Whom we love to pieces. :-)

Well whatever it is, Jake is happy !! (o:
So cute and he is a happy camper with a root to mulch.
:)
Now there's a nice chew bone! Hope you're feeling better, Sandra.
Vegetarian bone! ;)
Love how possessive of the "bone" that sweet dog is.
Hope you feel better quickly. Enough already!!
Awww....love the paw!
Kinda reminds me of myself when I get hold of a good cookie! I LOVE the one of Bob hugging Jake, so sweet! Does he read your posts, will he see it?
I didn't know a 'pre-historic bone' could bring such happiness. Has Bob forgiven you for posting the picture?
Boy does he look happy ^_^
gimme gimme some bone/root.
Great shots. Hope you're feeling better.
Big hugs
Eva
Daddy sure loves that little doggy! I didn't think that was a bone, but he was seating it. He wasn't sharing it though! sandie
Just so cute!
I love how you "understand" your dogs so well. :))
Hmmm....that bone does look like it's from the Flintstones. ;)

a hibiscus root doesn't sound nearly as tantalizing as a prehistoric bone. I'll tell Duke that Jake is gnawing on a tyrannosaurus rex bone
Hi Sandra, Cute post... I'm sure that 'bone' is from a prehistoric hibiscus for sure.... ha ha
Your hubby is so TANNED... Does he worry about skin cancer? I used to love to lay in the sun and did it for years and years... Then--all of the cancer fears hit and I don't do it very much anymore...
Hope you are feeling better.
Hugs,
Betsy
Hey Sandra! I'm trying to visit with everyone. Still don't have anything new to post on my blog. Will try to get out in the yard tomorrow to see if I can find something! I drove around the neighborhood for a few minutes this evening; that felt so good to be mobile again!
So the prehistoric bone is from a prehistoric root monster? Jake is so cute with the "bone", I do love the way that paw is holding on.
Oh Sandra I love this post
Oh Goodness...he reminds me of Otto so much....
Wow, what a great find for the dog.
Hmmmmm.... glad Doogie doesn't drag those in the house!!;o)
I was thinking it was a real bone : )
Those silly pups!
