Dogs are dying: In the past few months, more than 600 dogs have suffered from kidney failure, liver failure and other related illnesses after eating chicken jerky dog treats made in China and sold by major pet food companies like Nestle Purina

I agree that purchasing treats from other countries is not a good idea. Food and treats from the US is the best.

Hi Sandra, I signed the petition! Right now we are caring for our granddaughter's little dogs...and you can be sure I will be checking their dog food packages. What a terrible thing for our precious animals.

It just burns me up what China is doing to not only our pets but our children and who knows what they are trying to do to us by way of their products! I DO NOT buy anything made in China! It takes me forever to shop but I check the labels on everything! I can't believe they are messing with the pet treats again! They did that a few years ago! Then it was the baby formula! About 2 years ago I found Easter Candy that was made in China and did a full rant on my blog about it. When I find things made in China by way of food products I go into full blown fits in the store! There isn't a person around that doesn't know that it came from China after I tell them! lol

Thanks for the warning Sandra. Even though I have cats and always read the labels I will double check to make sure. I am beginning to feed them more organic food but I still read the labels.

Hi Sandra, I appreciate this..we were actually buying those a few years ago but the price kept going up! I found the best deal at Costco for her biscuits. Hope your babies are doing well! This is awful..think the first time (we know of)this happened was Five years ago (remember the resin or whatever.. something used to clean leather that past for a protein?!!) Thanks-

I just ran across the post. I have to go in the underground room to examine to see if we have any of the products for our cat and dog. I don't think so but it's best to examine.
