Bob's Nursery

Bobby Appleseed's tomato plants are growing in the nursery, He planted them from seeds from tomatoes we bought, the ones on the vine. Below is the Nursery.  In a PAST post I explained why he is Bobby Appleseed.  And if you have nothing else to do and are interested, the label on the side bar, Backyard Jungle shows off his green thumb and ability with seeds.

The nursery has saved plants from Orchids to Begonias and is the home of our aloe plants. we don't know why, but when a plant starts to wither, he puts it here and it always lives. He has never lost a plant that he put here.

Above and below, we took a short cut home from the vets office and found this in a yard.
Yet another Because I COULD photo...

I love seeing all the things that Bob grows. Wonder what is the most unusual plant that he has grown? Nice hobby!

Wood carvings are interesting.

Love the wood sculptures, another fun piece of art... Not so sure I'd want it in MY yard if I had one though... Or maybe it scares off intruders (unless they're Mad Snappers, of course!)

Cool totems that's for sure.

Bobby Appleseed and my mother could have created a jungle together. She could grow a tree from a branch!!
I did not inherit that talent.

Best,
Bonnie

Growing things from seeds! He does have a way, with plants.

Isn't it interesting how some people have particularly "green thumbs," and some people do not? It's not exactly like having the right vocal chords for singing... Or the right way to wield a brush, for painting...

Wonder what this/his ability, is based on/in?

That is kind of odd that if he puts a plant there - they always heal themselves. Wonder what would happen if I was in that corner with them? I am a notorious plant killer. Sadly.

Will the tomato plant get tomatoes on it? I have heard that some won't if you use the seeds from the store. Something about the way they are engineered. I've never started a tomato plant from seed.

I love the tiki things in that yard. That's cool! Would look funny in my yard though! lol I will have to say that my kids dentist has a theme like that in their office with jungle animals and all. It's too cute!

I understand why his nickname is Bob Appleseed. :) My hubby now has your grandchildren in tow liter bottles growing and some Gardenia clippings. They will need five gallon buckets soon!

Love the tiki heads! I always see those over at the coast.

Happy Saturday! Hugs and kisses to Baby and Jake too!

Bet you are looking forward to tomato salads soon. Quite unusual way to handle tree trunks. Glad that jake is going better.

Bob has the greenest thumb I know of.
Are those carved in to a tree trunk? Those are so cool. I also like your cute little bugs in your header

I have some plants that could use some space in Bob's nursery.

The place where Bobby Appleseed puts his sick plants must be the perfect environment for them. Just the right amount of sun for them, etc. Good post! Love the carving on the tree stumps! Love ya, Madeline
