Lewis Park-Shadows

Lewis Park is only a few  blocks out of my way on the drive home from my library. It is a park for children, a memorial park and a photographer paradise for nature shots.

The park has something for every one, it includes memorial trees, playground, 2 gazebo's, mulched walking trails and open green space to wander in.

there are two pedestrian bridges that cross a small winding creek. at certain times of the day water fowl can be found in the creek.

Lewis Park is the ideal spot for a stroll in the shade, or to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet or to have a picnic.

Looks like a very nice park. I love the stream(?). That one tree made me think of a potty.:)

It certainly does look like a photographers paradise. The lush green foliage and the variety of textures are gorgeous.

the first shot is beautiful - like the shadows are running into the creek.

That's a beautiful park for all ages. It looks so quiet in that area and a good stopover after visiting the library. I would like to wander by that creek, over the bridge and sit and watch the wild life, the shadows and the light.

What a JOY this place must be!!!!!! For all, in the area.

And oh that first pic of shadows! Wow, wow, wow.

And a green place, complete with stream and little bridges. -happy sigh-

Where the clover tops are trees,
And the rain pools are the seas,
And the leaves like little ships
Sail about on tiny trips."

That first photo is another testimony of how you recognize and capture unique patterns of sun and shadow. Bravo!

Benches ate the highlight of any park. What a great place to hang out. I love when you share your walks.

That is a really nice park - I like the fact they built in shade - we have lots of parks here - no shade and I hate to go to them! sandie

I would love to see that stream full of water. A lot of birds would flock to it in this drought.

Looks like a lovely place to visit. That is one thing our city does not have...pretty parks. We have playgrounds with picnic tables, tennis courts, and ball fields, but nothing that is scenic and lovely. You are blessed!
