Just a Dead Frond

Bob was throwing the ball for Jake, I was practicing standing on one foot (seniors get off balance and I read in a book standing on one foot helps with balance) and I ran for the kitchen table, grabbed the camera and zoomed way up in the tree.

Bob: what do you see?
Sandra: don't you see it?
Bob: it's just a dead frond.
Sandra: wait until you see it, the sun is painting it brilliant orange. IT"S A SUN PAINTING... oh YES it is.

PS: if you are OLD and you stagger just a little off balance when you walk or get up, standing on one foot to count of 20 works, but stand close to something to catch hold of in case you fall. Also walk heel to toe, like a drunk test, do 20 one way and 20 back. IT WORKS. did it for 2 days and have not staggered since. BUT you have to do it every day several times a day.   THIS ADVICE IF FREE OF CHARGE TODAY ONLY

Beautiful colours in those pictures, great shots!
Good advice about the balance, have to remember that when it occurs. Have a great day!

That is a wonderful example of sun painting. The color is just amazing. Even a dead palm frond can be gorgeous in the sunlight.

They do make great photos especially with the sun shining on them. Thanks for the free lesson, I need to try it. I have a Wii program on Fitness and it has lots of balancing activities but I don't do them often enough.

The best thing about a sun painting is that it's not elusive - you can capture it on camera and enjoy. Thanks for sharing and also thanks for advice about improving balance. Will go and try that.

Yes, it does look like a sun painting, Sandra. The comment on a previous post about beauty being all around is true and we only have to look around to see it, which you always do!
Thanks for the balance tips, which I have tried , but confess to not being good at...hoping practice makes better. Catching up on earlier posts, and rich does have talented kin.

Love the brilliant orange color of the frond with the sun coming through. Thanks for the tips about balance, too. We both need all the help we can get. John has already fallen this morning. He's not badly hurt, but the sound was terrible and I nearly broke my neck getting to him!

With your outstanding capture it looks like a taste of Fall is in the air. I do love how you got the sun just right behind the frond.

Hum, that in interesting info, thank you!.

Beautiful sun painting. Good info on avoiding balance problems. Elders' balance issues can also occur from loss of feeling in the soles of their feet due to diabetes or other conditions.
