this Santa on Tip Toe is 48 years old, I bought him for my son's first Christmas... you can't see the damage in the photos, but he is peeling and getting grungy.
I sat him in God's Flashlight and then used my flashlight. Just for Fun and Just because I could.
WHOOPS! WHERE DID HIS FACE GO...

Seriously, this is WAY cool. I love the first picture. And the second and third. This is exciting, now I will experiment!!
Love it...so funny and cheerful...
Sandra...I wish for you a very blessed happy Christmas.
I am having physiotherapy because I have tendinitis in my right shoulder. I can hardly write, either with pen or computer. To get dressed, drive, or comb is like hell. At school I have to write on the black board under terrible pain in the shoulder and arm. So I have been away from the blogosphere, my friend. I have seen your comments which I am very grateful and I appreciate.
That happiness will fill your soul..and rejoice in all that is good.
God bless you my dear

Looks like the MadSnapper got a little carried away with the lighting experiment. Santa has no face.
That little Santa is so cute. He has held up well for his age.
He is a lovely Santa which the torch light shows.
I love the older things, they seemed to have love wrapped up in them. HAPPY CHRISTMAS. xxx
Peeling and grundgy is good, it shows he's been loved.
Enjoy the holidays Sandra

I love the faces of the "old" Santas.
Cool photos of Santa. He a very special part of your Christmas.
How nice to have some old decorations like your cute Santa! I haven't any left from our children's childhood, only my mother's and grandchildren's. We took our children's Christmas decorations to Italy when we lived there and probably had a clear out as we don't get over for Christmas.
I like how you have fun with what is close at hand. :)
He's a cutie, even though I know, those old decorations do get worse-for-wear with many years, 'under their belt.' ,-)
And you had fun with pics of him! That's the best part. :-)
Isn't it fun to have something that brings memories and joy. My mother-in-law purchased an Alabama Santa for my son when he was quite young. He plays the Alabama fight song. I love pulling it out a Christmas just to aggravate him since he goes to Auburn University, the University of Alabama's biggest rival. LOL!
Santa is beautiful just for all the memories he has helped you make!!
Hugs Madi and Mom
He still looks good, considering the years he has helped to brighten Christmas for you.
Sandra, I love that Santa. Doesn't matter how old or how messed up they are...they just hold memories. I am glad you still have it!
He still looks like a jolly old soul!!
Best,
Bonnie
So Neat to have a 48 year old Santa...I like the flashlight effect too
you're strange. ;)
Sandra, I just love the way you play with your camera.
Never thought of using the flashlight. I usually use God's...(:0)
We have a large santa that reminds me of yours. He's about that old too and is getting pretty grungy looking but Christmas wouldn't be Christmas if he wasn't someplace in the house on display. Love the traditions.
love it....what a sweet reminder every year when you put him out...
48 years old - he is old - he has to have some flaws by now - don't we?
I swear I don't have anything fun to say...so leaving this to say I was here!
I remember those flocked (think that's what you called it) decorations. The ones with the fuzzy feel to them. They never did hold up too well but we thought they were awesome when we were kids.
Love the faceless Santa...lol
You are always trying new things you creative girl!
xo Catherine
These are great pictures of Santa -- I don't think he looks grungy at all. Well, that is, before he lost his face.
He still looks very festive.
That Santa is adorable. So glad that you still have him. Amazing what lighting can do to help certain items we are trying to photograph... You did well with this lighting.
Hugs,
Betsy
This is some very creative photography. Good to know there is a Santa Claus.
I have a little santa very similar to yours. It was my mom's and she was going to throw it away so, I took him. :)
...he still looks beautiful!
love how creative you are.
i need to try new things myself.
