Due to poor quality of photos (he would not stop fluttering) I will ask a question to entertain you and of course ME.
How many bed pillows do you have on your bed? How many throw pillows?
Do you have any sleep habits that require extra pillows?
We have 5 bed pillows and 3 throw pillows... all of which belong to me... Bob only uses ONE.
Madsnapper Pillows.... One memory foam for my head, one to put down the middle of the bed because i am a light sleeper and if touched wake instantly and can not go back to sleep (my fretter a.k.a what iffer kicks in). And one I clutch up against my front and kind of lean on it....
that is a total of 3, the other one is used only if I am reading/watching TV in bed, it props me up used with the other 3. Two of the smallest throw pillows are used for arm rest while reading/watching....
If I give you a quiz will you know how many pillows I use and what for?
Waiting to hear about your pillows and/or sleep habits... careful this blog is rated G

I miss our butterflies! sigh....I need spring...
Pillows, yes, we have 6 on our bed (compared to your 8). 2 that you are not allowed to put your head on (LOL!) and 1 each for us that you can use for watching TV and another 1 each that we sleep on. I am always on the hunt for the 'perfect' pillow.
And I have been sleeping really crappy lately again. My Friday post will be about something that I have been trying for the last couple of days. sigh...what I wouldn't give for a full nights sleep....
Wishing you a happy Wednesday Sandra!
xo Catherine
i have four on my bed but i use only two. i find it very uncomfortable when i stay at someone's home and i only have one, it really hurts my neck.
b.t.w. these photos are truly gorgeous!!
Pretty photos.. I used 3 pillows ... Hubby 2..and we have 2 more hanging around.. Nolan usually ends up under one
I like your fluttering butterfly... As for your question, I'm a pillow-hugger too. I normally have five on my bed. Two of them are special "neck" pillows but of different kind; and the other three are regular bed pillows of various thickness. I don't make a difference between "throw" or not, because I tend to throw them all. In the daytime I throw them all on the bed and when I'm in/on the bed myself I throw out the ones I don't want at the moment... In my living room I have another dozen or so in various sizes. The only two that usually stay quietly in their place and don't get thrown about much are two embrodidered ones that my mum made. They sit in a chair that is rarely used except when I have visitors.
Gorgeous photos. I use 3...to keep from getting congested when I lie flat. My husband puts his pillows on top of himself. Crazy.
PS. I do know that the ones that sit still are probably the ones that are usually called throw pillows...
Sandra, we have 5 pillows on our bed, 2 for each of us and then a small pillow used only by Grenville as a back support. And whenever we travel, we always request extra pillows if there are not enough already provided. And, I think I would fail the quiz.
Great pics :) I use 2 pillows at night...one memory foam pillow for my head and the other one I keep in front of me
Four! And these shots are awesome! LOVE them!
Beautiful butterfly and bush! I think if you spend a little time with him, you can train the butterfly to be still(just kidding.)
Sorry about the fretting. I'm a light sleeper too, but not sure why. We have three pillows on our bed. My pillow is nearly flat and that's the way I like it. Can't stand big, puffy pillows. And I have a throw pillow - just one.
I have three pillows...two for me and one for Roger. Or last night, two for me and one for Lorelei. Two because it really helps with acid reflux problem.
I do have one of those pillows that are for reading in bed. I love it, but hardly ever read in bed now. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=bed+pillow+for+reading&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=4230549789&hvpos=1t2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13294278631809347169&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&ref=pd_sl_27sq41ivge_b
Beautiful butterfly. Pillows, hummm? Well lets see. MOM has two pillows. But if I want one or both they are mine. Then of course MOM is my main pillow. She is my favorite one.
Blessings,
Goose
Love the pictures! Pillows....just one....
Lovely photos!!!
-chuckle- Questions about In-Bed. Mmmmmmm, she is getting possibly risqueeeeeeeeee, here. -gigggles-
No throw pillows! Can't be bothered "throwing" them back in place, every morning. :-)
2 reg pillows for him. 2 reg pillows for me, and my wedge (to keep my propped up, so my acid reflux won't kick in).
GIRL, that first picture knocked me off my chair!! the colors are amazing and its spot on perfect!
The pillow situation sounds like ours. I sleep with 4 and hubby with 2 unless I yank one out from under his head in the middle of the night leaving him with 1.
Oh my look at that beautiful butterfly. I can't wait!
When my bed is made...lol...there are two regular pillows, three European pillows and three throw pillows.
Each of us only use one pillow when sleeping. So we only have two pillows on the bed when we are sleeping.
But, now, in the den, where I watch t.v., I have two foam memory pillows.
Happy day you mad Snapper you...I am so so envious of that butterfly!
I think your photos of the butterfly are quite good. I know I would be happy with them. We only have three pillows on our bed and one is for show. It gets put on the floor when we go to bed.
I love the color in those butterfly pics!! How beautiful! I use two pillows...one for my head and one for my knees. I lead a pretty simple life. lol.
i use 1. low, old, 'punchy'. and sometimes none - sleeping right on the mattress.
I'm glad to see these. maybe I'll be seeing them soon.
Love the butterflies, fluttery or still.
We have 1 each sleeping pillows and 2 pillow shams for show during the day.
Rather boring, I guess.
This is such a beautiful sight at the end of January.
Pillows? 2 regular and one king size.
Mad Snapper you are too funny
My peeps have a sleeping pillow each,
2 shams and 2 throw pillows.
HOWEVER Mom might consider one for the middle 'cause she is a light sleeper too.
LOVELY swallowtail.
Hugs madi and Mom
PS my sleeping habits
Well I too am a light sleeper. Hubby goes to sleep in about 30 minutes from the time his head hits the pillow. So the running joke here is I have a window of opportunity for getting to sleep. If he gets to sleep before me I move to another bedroom. Sometimes I wake up not quite sure where I am.
Gorgeous, gorgeous!! I have a couple pictures of this same butterfly, and mine are not good, very blurry. This particular butterfly must be an extra fast one. I still need to look it up, maybe a black swallowtail, if there is any such thing. About the pillows...don't give me any ideas!!! O.K. here goes...I have my main pillow, which is special and is shaped like a U, it protects my shoulder because I have torn rotator cuffs. It is not comfy, but I do not wake up during the night with my shoulder screaming. Then I have a regular big solid foam one. I use that once in awhile because it is real comfy. When my shoulder starts to hurt I switch back.
oh so pretty. All that color, I'm jealous.
My bed has 4 bed pillows no throw pillows. I use one, Wade uses one and the other two get thrown on the floor. Don't ask why there are 4 if we only use 2 because I have no idea
I have three and one roll thingy under my neck. Hubby has two but uses one. I keep my throw pillows on my guest bed. I love the pictures, such gorgeous colors.
I thought your pictures were pretty Sandra.
I have four pillow no throw pillows. I have a foam pillow - it dips down in the middle.
I use one of each side.
Other for hubs.
sandie
The swallowtail's colours are gorgeous with the red blossoms!
5 pillows. 3 for sleeping, 2 in shams. only one of the sleeping ones is mine and it goes under my head! Don't read, watch TV, or compute in bed, so I don't need extra pillows. It sure sounds like you have all your bases covered!
I like the pictures, they show the movement of the butterfly. as for pillows,I have three on my bed,but sleep with only one.
Sounds almost identical to our bed! Hubby calls the pillows 'my barricade' to I don't have to snuggle.
Butterflies are such beauties! Now for pillows: four pillows on the bed...two to sleep on (one for each of us) and two pillows covered with shams. Spare bedroom has four also plus two decorative smaller ones; three pillows on couch; 1 in my office BUT there's NONE in the bathrooms!!!!LOL!...:)JP
I have three pillows and I sleep on two of them. Earlier this week I had a visit with a gastroenterologist (digestive system) doctor. One of the questions in the intake questionnaire was how many pillows do you sleep on. I'm still trying to figure out what that has to do with my digestive system!
One flat as a pancake pillow for me...Franks pillow is high and stiff. Does not look pretty on the bed together but he needs his high for his heart. I like the orange in the photo's so vibrant. :)
I decline on the pillow issue to moan about another issue. If your butterfly pix here are poor quality, then I think I better start going text only.
Never mind. Guess I will keep posting cause it's fun.
The butterfly is so beautiful. I miss seeing them in my yard.
We have four on our bed, two each. I am a pillow-hugger too. Hubby has one memory foam that keeps him from snoring and keeps me from putting a pillow over his mouth. LOL!
Beautiful photos! so many colors!
We have six pillows. The large decorative that we use for our backs if we're in bed with laptops. One for hubby to sleep with and two for me to sleep with. Mine have to be just right with my neck or I will toss and turn all night. Hubby calls me Princess from "Princess and the Pea." lol You come up with fun stuff!
Three large decorative pillows...can you tell it's midnight.lol
Thanks so much for calling by the photo blog and leaving a comment it is appreciated Sandra. Apologies for not calling by very often at the moment, just had a lovely catch up, these butterfly photos are gorgeous.
I would be very pleased to see such a beautiful butterfly. Amazing photos of a fluttering butterfly. We have one pillow each and I have a v-shaped one for reading in bed which gets thrown on the floor when I've finished my reading session.
