Hollyhocks -Up Close and Personal

I looked these up and I think they are pink Hollyhocks. they are towering over the driveway of a home not to far from us.

Althaea rosea Pink Hollyhocks is what I found...here on The Garden Pages the thing is they have been blooming like this for at least 2 months maybe more.

These are glorious. What a welcome sight since everytime I look out the window it is snow and gloomy. Oh, these hollyhocks are beautiful. I have grown them but they were never that pretty nor did they last that long.

Who-hooooo... Beautiful. We both remember hollyhocks, but haven't had them, in way too long. :-) Maybe, this year.

One of my favorite flowers. So old fashioned. And you can make dolls out of them.

Beautiful! Those hollyhocks are especially pretty in that bright pink. A welcome sight to those of us up north, it's rainy and windy here today with possible snow flurries by Saturday.

Very nice pictures. I do love the old fashioned hollyhocks but the newer "carnation" look alike are nice too...:)

I'm not good at names of flowers but I know pretty and these are it.

Yep, they're hollyhocks but they seem to be some ruffled variety. One of my favorite flowers. With the amount of buds on them I'll bet they'll keep blooming for a long time.

Yes, they are Hollyhocks, and fancy fringed ones! The hollyhocks around here have these shiny gold beetles with long noses like an elephant's trunk. I call them goldbugs. These are gorgeous!! Ours will not bloom till summer.

Oh my, I haven't thought about Hollyhocks in years. My dad raised them on the east side of the garage. Wonder if they are still there? Thanks for the memory!

One of my favorite memories as a little girl at Granma's---standing and looking up at the Hollyhocks in the morning sun--love them!

Love the close-ups of the frilly looking hollyhocks. They must be a cheerful sight to see along your way and they are certainly flourishing there.

Hollyhocks remind me of days long gone and pick fences. You are so fortunate to live around such beautiful color and interesting birds and critters.
