Snapathon..The Rest of The Story

my toes, post, baby banana tree

Previously on MadSnapper, while Snapping at a hibiscus, I went into "Snapathon" mode

Amazing Ferns growing up hibiscus tree, and close up macro of a stag horn plant.

If you click on above photo you will find he is quite lovely.

I heard a very loud flapping noise up over my head and what to my wondering eyes did appear?

A big Black Buzzard.. at first I thought it was a juvenile turkey buzzard but after research decided it is a Florida black buzzard. sometimes called vultures...

My friend at Photowanna made a comment earlier this week that she likes my blog because it is up beat and
"slightly off the wall"....

She hit the nail on the head....and this is living buzzard proof!!!

i love the black vultures. they seem more curious than turkey vultures. :)

and i love your fern!

If this is the same as the new black buzzards we have, they can be quite brave and aggressive.

A good photographer can find pictures at every turn as you have proven time after time.

Your blog was called 'slightly off the wall.' Well, that's nigh-on-to-perfect, in my view! -grin-

Takes a 'slightly off the wall' blog, to know a 'slightly off the wall' blog, say I. ,-)

I love your blog no matter what it is called.....something new everyday and the photos are great.BUT...I have to say....I do not like vultures. They swoop around up here looking for cats and small creatures and road kill. They are just not one of my favorite birds! But you were lucky to get great picttures of the one that flew in your yard!

Have a great Sunday, my dear!!!

Off the wall is a lot of fun. You never cease to amaze us!

That buzzard is very cool. The black ones are a little more photogenic than the Turkey buzzards. You got some great shot of that fellow.

And the Stag Horn plant close up is fantastic!
