The Papaya that lives in the hospital..

The Plant Hospital is open for business... I could not restrain myself because of the shadows..

See those 3 sticks? they are OLD, USELESS, Worn OUT mops and a broom... I think Bob thinks if he leaves them standing in the plant hospital they will rejuvenate...

this is the space between two fences, where the garbage cans, ladders and lawn mower live, and for some reason a sick plant placed here will get better in no time at all...

The Papaya tree lives here because Bob has planted so many bushes and trees it has to live in the bucket. If you are totally bored with life and want to know more.. click on the Papaya  label below because this is my FIFTH post on it, from when he planted the seed in a Crock Pot butter tub.

It is now almost 8 feet tall.

QUESTION  ... do you or your spouse keep all old mops,  brooms, shovels etc? Bob does.. they are every where...

5:30 AM UPDATE: Tropical Storm Andrea is looming and we have half a tree down in our side yard, it missed the house, just caught the edge, will have photos sometime. If I am not commenting or posting it will be do to power outage. We are under tornado watch, had one touch down in our county, but we are fine and waiting for it to pass. I did not sleep more than an hour last night, the tree went down at 10:40 and with gusting winds throwing rain i could not sleep.

What a strange place for a plant to re-cuperate, it looks like its a place to kill them off. lol

As for mop handles, you know what Bob is thinking, that they might just come in handy one day.
We have just had a clear out and taken a lot of junk to the tip but if I had the room I wouldn't throw anything out, I'm a great hoarder inside. Funny that, because I can't stand too much in the home, I like it a bit minimalist.
But then if you ask Tom, he'll tell you that I don't know if I'm coming or going. ha,ha.
By the way, I love the shadows in the first picture.

EW! Sounds like the hurricane and tornado seasons are off and running. Hope you stay OK.

My husband saves just about everything. He just "knows" he'll need it someday. Sometimes he's right, dang!

Wow, did not know a thing about the tropical storm...and we are getting ready to go to Roger's appt. Will check in later...

Roger does not keep everything...but he is a hunter. I forget how many turkey tails I had hanging on my walls at one time. I think we are down to about four right now.

Now don't get me wrong, they are pretty...but you see one, just you see one, you have seen them all. Yet I know they remind him of the good times he had in the hunt.

I really admire you that you can be this funny while under a tornado watch! I would be freaking out! I have been thinking of you and Bob with that tropical storm approaching your area and I hope you will be OK. Take care and let us know as soon as you can what's going on. Hugs!

Oh, the question: Yes, my hubby and Bob do have a few things in common and there are way more than one mop around here.

Stay safe! And I can see why those old map and broom handles come in handy from time to time - so I'm really not the person to ask. lol

Hurricanes and tornadoes? Yikes!

Stay safe!!!!!!!!!!

Let us know, you are fine, as soon as you get power back, if you lose it.

Here, husband saves every old nut, screw, nail, etc... And old wood. And.... Yes, it is a male thing, about someday it might come in useful I guess. -giggggles-

First of all I hope you are safe in the storm.
Yes my husband saves everything - but this garage sale we had is making him clean things out and now I am a nervous wreck - lol!
I wonder why it makes the plants heal? sandie

Stay safe, Saw the news and first thing I thought was - "oh, no...Sandra and Bob!"

Love Bob's hospital. Wish I had a place like that!

Jim saves all broom, mop handles...but they have to be wood. You never know when you might need a stake or a piece of wood like that!!!!

Hoping that tree down is the last of your damage. About those worn-out brooms and mops, we are boyth fighting our pack-rat tendencies. And unlike Bob, we don't find practical uses for such stuff. And even when we occasionally do find a use for such stuff, we can't find the saved item!

I do hope you make it through this storm unhurt and without a lot of damage.

Yipes, Sandra... Hope you all made it okay during the night. Sorry about the tree. Even tropical storms can cause lots of problems. Prayers are with you all...Please give us an update and let us know you are okay.

Sounds like your Bob is a pack rat of sorts... Does he think he will use those things. I lived for awhile (when I was single) with a girlfriend---who never threw away anything. Drove me batty. She was a Type B creative person --quilter/sewer/stitcher, etc... She was talented --and started many new projects completing few of them.. AND--to give you an example: she even kept the wrapper packages that zippers came in!!!!! She 'thought' she'd find a good use of them.... Huh????? ha ha

Hugs,
Betsy

well it's nice to know that your plants have a place to go when they are ailing :) Wade doesn't save anything so those mop/broom handles would have been long gone around here.
Stay safe, hope the weather calms down there

I don't think we have any extra handles around at the moment but they could come in handy. The papaya tree looks pretty healthy to be growing in a bucket.
