Fish Tail Tale part 2

I asked Bob to reach up and pick this one for me, he did and ended up covered in a shower of yellow pollen, his hair was yellow with it... Anything to keep MadSnapper happy..

MadSnapper pondering:

Why do bath rugs move from their designated spot when we walk on them, turn all si-godling,  but when I try to move it with my foot to straighten it, it appears to be glued in place

Grocery items in the same cabinet, stored in the same spot, are now out of my reach. As little as 2 years ago, I could reach them, now I must find the grabber thingy or yell loudly for hubby who can no longer hear me…who knows what I will do when Bob can no longer reach said shelf...

and how will I get the pod thingy picked from way up in the tree?

the label below this post has 6 post on this tree.

Your bath rug pondering made me smile- same problem here...I always have to bend over, grad a corner and pull it back in place..so weird! Cool flower!

Sandra, got a solution for the cabinet reaching problem...lower the cabinets. OK, so that may not work, and right now I share a similar problem but makes me think that when (and if) we relocate, high cabinets should be avoided.

Pretty pods! Funny about the rug...and so true! I'm the "reacher" at work...don't know what they'll do when I retire. Guess they have a few more years to figure that out!!

Obviously you haven't read the small print on bathroom rug tags! Just saying!!

You have such interesting foliage there! And of course those are fantastic photos. But the pondering bit made me laugh. I have OFTEN wondered the same thing. What's with that bathroom rug?? And if kids are using the bathroom, the rug seems to migrate even faster.

We have to do one day at a time now Sandra, face these things when they come. Had to laugh about Bob being covered in pollen, don't tell him.....lol

Poor Bob. Us ladies always seem to want something it seems. Asking hubbies to do something that causes a laugh or two.

Oh I am having a good laugh with poor Bob.

And that mat.

It is happening here too.

Okay when you get the answers to those two questions write them because those are two of my problems too!

This plant is just amazing, and your pictures are wild and sunny! I have really never seen anything like it. And in some way, I don't know why, it reminds me of an alien plant. And some of them open almost like clams. I just think SO many more names would suit this better than Fish Tail. I have still remained at 5'5", that was the word from the doctor's office yesterday. Yet everyone is seeming to get taller and bigger. The kitchen window ledges that I used to clean once a week for over 20 years...I cannot reach them now, so how could they say I am still the same height??

Love these pods! The pics are so clear,it feels like I can touch them. Hubbys are here to take care of us. :) They need to feel needed. :)

When the bathroom rug is out of whack...it just irritates me so. It is not me that does it....it must be hubby!...Not unusual! Pictures are bright and beautiful. Thank Bob for getting that down for you. I really appreciate it. Nice to see it up close!

I had to laugh at your talking about the bath mat.
It's like the little rug in front of our door. Why does it skitter in the first place but I have to pick it up and move it back? No amount of toe kicking will do it.
What amazing blossoms on the Fish Tail Palm.

I really love the photos of the flowers on the pod. I only got to 5'2" as it is and don't like getting shorter. I have a very nice step stool that I use. Yes those darn bathroom rugs always do that!

well I'm awfully glad that Bob can still reach to pick these blossoms for you. They are pretty. You should have gotten a picture of his yellow hair...lol
If you figure out the question about the bath rug let me know, I'm curious about that one myself

Awesome photos, Sandra. Same problem here with rugs. Rocky the cat is always "wrestling" with the run and then one of us old folks comes along and trips over it!

I thought it was just my cabinets which had grown taller. It can't be that I am shrinking.LOL

Lots of pollen, good thing he doesn't have bad allergies :)

I have the same problem with rugs and top shelves. Now what is it that we have in common over the past couple of years?

Very cool 'pod thingy.' Love the colors and light. Being 5'10" tall, I am usually the reacher rather than the reachee....hummm that that make any sense?

oh my word, how did i miss this post!

amazingly amazing captures of the pots!
you had me laughing at your talking about your bath rug. same problem happens here, too.

Wow, can I relate to this post...all but that pretty pod thingy. That is amazing! I was just thinking that very same thing about the bathroom rug in the front bathroom today. And Gene can't hear me when I call and need him either. I guess we will just have to get us a step ladder. I would probably fall off that though and Gene would never know I was on the ground. lol Hugs
