Across Old Main Street from this beautiful 100 year old building is
side view of our County Administration Building...
and here is the front of the that building
which is directly across from our County Courthouse that is 100 years old and under construction for repairs.
standing in front of the court house I aimed the camera down the street to show yet another style of architecture...
NOTE: the most memorial story of this old courthouse is the fact Bob and I were married in that courthouse on Feb. 8, 1985.. cost.. 20.00...time 15 minutes... It worked out beautifully.
and on the way back to the car, the old Main Pub... and there they are a melting pot of styles, yet beautiful.

Sounds to me like you and Bob made a super investment both time- and money-wise. Great success story, Sandra. ;)
I am liking the looks of your city - pretty!
Our wedding was about 15 minutes long and done by a commissioner of marriage. My grandma still thinks we aren't married. LOL

Enjoyed this part 2 of the downtown walk, Sandra. Happy Anniversary wishes (earky) to you both. Good things happen in Feb as it's also my birthday then!
I like the mix of the old, historic and the new architecture. They do seem to blend together and the greenery softens the look of the buildings and streets. I like the attention to detail such as the design of the street lamps. The sidewalks look neat and clean and, of course, the sunshine makes a big difference to the atmosphere of a place!
Your town looks especially pretty bathed in that golden sunlight. We haven't seen the sun for awhile now!
Best,
Bonnie
Love the old and the new. You two have an anniversary coming up, I see.
My, the architecture of buildings sure has changed over time. I love that old Courthouse the best!
Now, if I can just remember that date of Feb 8....maybe I should just say Happy Early Anniversary now?
the pub at the end is cute. $20 was a good investment. :)
Such pretty buildings.....diverse
That's one thing I love about FL...it is also so neat and tidy,...:)JP
AHHHHHHHHHHHH that courthouse is now our favorite bldg. Proof positive all these over the moon expensive weddings are NOT at all what marriage is about...
Hugs Cecilia
Kinda looks a bit like Corpus Christi Old Town. At least you people are renovating the old courthouse...they claim our ancient beauty is dangerous to even repair...and down it will go someday.
Sad.
Interesting contrasts of architecture and what a beautiful sky! Looks like you had a beautiful day to be out and about!
It looks like a beautiful place well worth visiting and maybe settling down in.
Looks like it is a cute town....seems like the architecture blends the old with the new. Anywhere in Florida would be wonderful for us right now. It is exactly 3 degrees here. I hate it and I am so sick of the cold! I love the sunshine in your photos. Great post!
Enjoyed seeing the various styles of architecture. And the sunshine and no snow!
My favorites will always be the older buildings but the assortment here just seems to work for a unique and beautiful scene
Well the modern stuff looks out of place but that's how progress works.
Do love the older buildings and your money was well spent at the courthouse!
It's no wonder the old courthouse is special to the two of you... Glad you both are and have been and will continue to be SO happy together...
Great set of photos.
Hugs,
Betsy
I love the tour...such pretty buildings...looks nice and warm too...we are cold again here in Texas...
Pretty buildings and I love the sunshine even more!
I really like the mixture of the old and new on Main Street.
I really like the mixture of old and new especially when there are palm trees all around. You and Bob picked a great place to be married. We tied the knot quick and easy too except we went to Reno. Don't know why folks want to spend a fortune on a wedding.
I like that you caught reflections of the old in the windows of the new.
Loved your bit of city history and personal history. Andthe 6th photo just knocked my socks off!
Thank you for that little bit of history, very nice pictures as usual. Have a great day!
oh, your city looks pretty!
i've always loved the mixture of the old and new in a city. main street looks beautiful too.
What a lovely contrast! I'd have to say I'm partial to the older buildings, though.
