Point Pleasant - Part 2

Love the tree more than the house on this one..

Love the porch on this and this one is my favorite as you can tell by all the photos of it... my favorite on this post...

This home with the cedar shake siding is also very old, built in the early 1900's and was to large to get it all in one photo.

Next door to the cedar home is this  New Orleans style home and even
home.

And right next to it is this big surprise with an acre lot, nothing like the other homes but stunning grounds.

Above is the back view and below is the front view, the trees are magnificent and there were maybe 5 trees of about 100 years old.

j'adore vos constructions, vraiment différentes de la France ou hormis en montagne elles sont en bois, partout ailleurs ce sont des parpaings de béton cellulaire et de la brique et du bois associés parfois§
Superbes prises de vue.
Have a nice day!

Since we also have a front porch, the house with the open porch is my favorite too. Thanks for this tour and the one on Bradenton in the previous post. When we take our southern road trip, we will be sure to stop.

I really like these older houses. The trees around the last house you pictured are majestic.

Give me Live Oaks, Spanish Moss and a huge wrap-around porch and I would be happy as can be. I love all of these houses.

Love the first house too, beautiful porch. Also like the pictures they have hanging on the walls there. And the spanish moss on the trees, lovely.

There is so much character in these homes.

I like homes surronded by large trees. One thing about new subdivisions here is the streets are lined with saplings, which in no way compare favorably to mature trees.

My dream was to have a wrap around porch so I could sit in my rocking chair and watch the world go by...never happened, but that's okay. I love my house anyway.

I would love to sit and daydream on that front porch! Seems like it would be so relaxing. We had a nice front porch on our house before this one. We really did enjoy it!
