Can you spare me a disco ball?

Surprise # 1... the cable guy that we expected between 12 and 2 came at 11:30... he installed the above modem that gives us cable/phone and LIGHTNING Speed internet... in and out in 15 minutes... we were HAPPY.

Surprise # 2

It's bedtime... we turn out the lights....  AND this is what we see

Bob says "do we have a disco ball?"
I jump out of bed, create a tent from a business card to keep the light off the ceiling. Back in bed the flashing on the ceiling is gone

I say "we don't need the disco ball now but I feel like we are lying on a landing strip..."

see all those lights down the front? they were aimed in the full length wall mirror and our bed was in a spot light.

It was a simple fix, I aimed it in the walk in closet got back in bed and said
"now  walk in closet Baby's Condo is lit up like a landing strip..."

If you would like to see amazing wild turkey's got to Montana Girl

I'm glad you solved the problem but Baby may not be!

oh, too funny! you're going to have to watch baby for signs of sleep deprivation. :)

We have that also...but I have a huge piece of decor that hides the light at night. It was very annoying the first night. LOL

Nothing better than lightening fast connection tho!!

Oh, I can relate! I have a modem in the bedroom, too, and had to just turn it around. It still gives off some light. Then, there is the light on the clock, the telephone, the red light on the power strip on the floor, etc. Why does everything have to have lights? Grrr.

Great for someone who has a baby that will not go back to sleep after the 2:00 feeding. LOL

The tent trick was good! Business cards sure come on handy.

Funny! Glad the fix was easy.I hope your internet is "lightening fast"!!

Well you said you finally got lightening speed internet. You are getting a trip through the night sky every evening.
Our modem etc. are in our office so we don't see the light show. Thank goodness.

I'm envious of your lightening speed internet :) Too funny about the lights. Glad it was an easy fix for you though

Good thinking. I'll bet you are enjoying the higher speed.

That would have drove me NUTS! lol I can not stand any light in the bedroom at all! My husband's radio clock has a way to turn off the light on it thank God! Before we had to put something over it because it is too bright for me. I even get distracted from the little red light that is in the smoke detector! We have our modem in the laundry room near the electric box on top of the little freezer in there.

What a great fix, you solved the problem but poor Baby might not get any rest. Our modem is in the back office. I can't imagine having it in the bedroom.

I am impressed with the fix but then they do say necessity is the mother of invention. Those flashing lights would keep me up all night.

Imagine a disco modem producing glittering and charming psychedelic lighting !

Tell me about your new internet connection... What cable company do you have? Is it really faster? We have our internet through Comcast --and it is pretty good.. But--I always am looking for upgrades..

Thanks,
Betsy

LOL Only you would this happen to. LOL

And just think if you wanted to disco, you could have done so right in your own bedroom...and it's OK if you don't post photos👀 Sandra
