Life Without Email?

Life without email? NOT in this life.... Email Alerts Keep Me Functioning.

I would be lost with out email reminders.

YES, I do own a calendar and I do write on it.

But there is No email that tells me to LOOK at it.

Trifexis  sends me an email reminder on the 21st of each month, reminding me to give Baby and Jake their once a month pill that originally was started on the 1st day of each month and worked slowly to the 21st until I discovered the alert email.

Bank Alerts for everything on my accounts...poor Bob, if he uses the debit card I get and email of how much and where.... he walks in and I say were you just at the Citgo station? What did you buy at Auto Zone...

HEH HEH HEH he thinks I am a psychic.........

Tracfone alerts me to turn on my old lady  phone to receive my auto minutes, which also  reminds me I have not charged the phone since the month before email.

Library alerts me the E book I placed on hold is ready to borrow.

If I forget to return it when I finish, it sends alert to return it. Wonder how I knew this one...

Now if ONLY I could get the Toaster Oven to send email the muffins are burning or the Range to send an email when the eggs have boiled all the water out...

Email from the microwave that the coffee is heated would keep me from searching for my favorite mug for 10 minutes and finding it with cold coffee from the day before.

We finally broke down and got a cell phone last week. Hopefully I'll get accustomed to using it to remind me of things!

you have embraced technology - or it has embraced you. :)

BOL BOL re the spam and the alerts. Indeed you have embraced technology. We laugh as we have a dumb phone and she must be the only person in the whole planet that has never downloaded an app.
Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly

ROFL!! You are just tooooo hilarious. I put my pottery mug in the microwave oven this morning to warm it up before I added my coffee. Went to get the mug, and hadn't put any water in it...It didn't hurt the mug thankfully, but it was pretty warm! (I'm not really with the program too early in the morning).

Maybe I need to set up email reminders for Momma to blog!

Where in the world did you find all these reminder places? You certainly are using available technology to the full extent of its capability. For me, I find email reminders annoying and I didn't let them know my new address. HEH, HEH!

Forgot to mention that I love the illustrations here. That mailbox is genius. And on second thought it would be kind of neat to know about those purchases. If I could set a limit on what hubby can buy at the fish counter, that would be a blessing also.

technology can be the greatest thing ever...till it doesn't work...boy you really miss it too if you can not be connected...I'm going through with drawal till my new phone comes...I can do everything I do on my laptop on my phone...

Phil gets a few...one that his bank statement is ready to see. I don't get any. But I DO get a text on my cell once a month that they have taken the payment out of the bank for it. I can see how good these would be! Maybe I don't do anything that necessitates them?

P.S. Just thought I would add this, because it just happened again. Any time we make a phone call to people we do business with, they always want us to stay on the line when we are finished and take a survey!

I guess I will have to keep my old Fashioned ways and make lists of what to do and not to do! It would be my luck that my computer would break down and where would I be?

the way technology is moving I wouldn't be a bit surprised if in a few years those appliances are able to send you email alerts

I totally agree... I live by my email --and reminders... What did we ever do???? We have ONE calendar which we both use... We sync that calendar on our computers ---and we can set up any kind of reminders we want to or need....I first started doing birthdays and anniversaries... I can set it up to send me an email (or put a notification on my computer)the day of, or even 5 days before (whenever)--if I have to mail cards, etc...

Now ---I use it for most everything... The new iPhone also has a 'Reminder' thingee on it --for most anything (such as time to put the clothes in the dryer --or to fold clothes, etc...) Don't know what we would have done without all of these little gadgets and reminders...

Hugs,
Betsy

Oh my goodness girl - you do get a LOT of email reminders - I honestly don't think I get any - maybe I am not using things the way I should.

Love this post, I can so relate.

Sounds like your email has most of the bases covered with alerts. I get a few emails to let me know when a payment is due or when it is being taken out of the bank account. Other alerts come via text message on the phone. I sometimes set up reminders of important dates on my phone.

There are ways to control your home with a smart phone or computer. I was reading about one the other day. As much as I like technology I'm not sure if I want a "smart" home yet.

I thought I had quite a few email alerts set up, but you make me look like an amateur.

I love the email alerts and the reminders that the calendar on the computer shows me. I also use sticky notes on the computer. I have no idea what I would do for reminders if the computer went down, guess I should have a backup plan. Your post got me thinking about that. I laughed when I read the last part of your post, when that happens we will for sure have it made.

Some people I have talked to say email will be a thing of the past in the not so distant future, if that should happen in our time what ever will we do then for alerts and reminders? Hugs

You are using email for what's at people use apps for. Good for you.
