I have posted a Gazillion photos of this dwarf Powder puff bush. These are just a little different... we had a rain storm and this is what it did to them.
The big open flower as they should all look, and after the rain, below.. I love them any way at all. Big, drowned or even dead like the one above.
Each morning the sun comes up and a gorgeous sunrise is behind the bush, I could not get a decent photo, had to use the flash to get the bush and that took away the sunrise.
Many years ago Bob found a 10 inch volunteer plant growing in the fence and pulled it up, placed in a pot, then a bucket and next the ground.
He hacks it back several times a year or it would be 20 foot tall.

What a great looking flower. But that sunrise steals the show. You have to show that to us in its full glory!

It's a lovely bush! The flowers are gorgeous and rather exotic looking!
Very original and beautiful flowers ! Wonderful photos !
Greetings
Now that powder puff is pretty, neat to see the cycles of getting rained on
Love Love your header, sunny leaves and hibiscus!! The powder puffs, in my opinion your most beautiful posts. with a few exceptions. They are girly grass hula skirts, pink brooms for sweeping, pink fireworks. I have a whole Sandra folder of them that I have been intending to frame and hang. But I can't decide which ones to use.
That is a beautiful bush and the flowers are quite spectacular.
LOVE your powder puff. It's pretty no matter what stage of life it's blossoms are in.
I have a setting on my camera that will take two shots in a row, one with and one without. Could you do that on your sunrise picture and somehow blend the two together so that the sunrise shows up?
Oh my gosh- the pulled back shot is just gorgeous...I want one!
Wow, the bush is amazing, the individual flowers vibrant and details so delicate. The sunrise must be so uplifting. Love the photo of the bush and sunrise behind.
Your photos are so very pretty. Just a fantastic color of flower.
That is such a beautiful flower! I love the color and it is so unique looking! You sure do have such a big variety of flowers, trees and things in your yard.
Beautiful pictures!
I warmly greet you and invite you to watch a new photo album on my blog. Have a nice weekend!
Reminds me of a form of mimosa with its fluffy boom. The seeds you sent me a few years back, I planted some early this spring and nothing has happen. Doubt they would survive the cold here anyway.
Oh, Sandra, your photos are just awesome! I love the color of the powder puff flower!
Your powder puff is beautiful -- even when drowned.
Every year that bush gets prettier and prettier! I love it! And you are right...it does not matter what it looks like....it can be half dead and I still love it. I wish I could grow something like that here but I am sure you told me it is a tropical bush. It is so Beautiful. Each picture is so very vivid. Love this post!
That is one beautiful bush and they are so interesting close up!
Another tropical beauty!!! That Bob had a green thumb...:)JP
pretty puffs...reminds me of tutus...of course my brain has been on dance lately...
Your flowers are just what everyone needs Monday morning.
