Bike Rack Fence or Bike Garden decoration? |
Answer: Because it's POINTLESS....
Paint me Please.... |
Same fence above and below
The first line of the song, Don't fence me in comes to mind.
The second line will be I won't fence you in because I can't....
I wonder what the reason is for this fence. Not for privacy, can't keep anyone in or out, no one lives on this side to talk over the fence. What do you think?

Maybe the fence in the last shot is there for the flowers and plants, that could be planted on the other side. That way they have some shade and safety.
Great fence shots! I think people are using bikes as yard art.. Have a happy day!
Pointless....that cracked me up!!
Happy Fence Day
Hugs madi and mom
Loved the play on words...but me saying so is probably just as pointless.
Great fencing...and commentary. I always love your take on any theme you post about. As for the fence that doesn't keep anyone in or out...I've heard it said that having a solid fence like this keeps the street noise down?!! Who knows.
Great fence and commentary. the last fence still gives a bit of privacy and it might have a pretty flower bed on the other side of it!
LOL pointless cracked us up too. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
I think the fence in the last photo is a backdrop for the garden planted in front of it/ I hope the owner looks out her front windows a lot. She (I'm assuming it's a she) doesn't care to share her flowers with us, I guess. ;)
Great shots, even the paint me is crying I am oh so old, and pretty darn sturdy, and will out last any plastic fence, you just wait and see!
it keeps folks' dogs who are walking along on the sidewalk from pooping in the yard. :)
thanks for linking! i like the bike rest.
Absolutely no idea why they would put the fence in that spot. I could understand it if it were closer to the sidewalk. Loved the joke. I'll try that one out on my grandsons. They love that kind of stuff too. :-)
I think it might give a certain sense of privacy after all.
I think it might be for a wee bit of privacy. The last photo, that is. Cute joke!
Maybe it's one of those things that seemed like a good idea at the time. Always enjoy your commentary as well as your photos.
I like the white picket fences! As for the last one, hmmm, maybe they think it gives them some privacy.
I think your first white fences are really pretty! But those big wooden privacy fences I do not like, unless they have murals painted on them!
If I had that pretty fence - I'd paint it.
It was fun to visit each of these fences but it was more fun to read about what you had to say about them! LOL~
I guess like many fences it was erected to delineate their property boundary.
oh fences all right. By the number.
It was a laugh of your chit, chat.
That last fence has obviously taken a cue from the broken pencil in that it's pointless. I do like those picket ones though.
hmmm i think mersad has a "point" ;)
I think something is buried there...:)JP
Love the commentary on the fence, perhaps it was used for decoration at one time looking at its best. Great images!
it would be pointless to write with a broken pencil. That's a good one.
The first fence is nice but the other two not so much :)
Maybe they like to sit out front and don't want folks looking at them..or there could be a pool behind it..or flowers. If I had to live in town I would probably have fences like this all around my house..this is why I live in the country!
Folks are strange. Can't imagine what purpose that one fence serves!
Well at least that fence is serving a purpose if nothing more then to hold that bicycle up. Now the other fence is a bit odd but perhaps it's to block their view of what is across from the fence. I liked the one that needs painted.
Hi, Who knows why people put up fences, especially ones that don't provide privacy....????
Here, we cannot put up fences --since it's a community rule... Our community has LOTS of rules --and most of them we like. However, I don't like the one saying that we can't hang clothes out on a clothesline to dry outside. I love smelling sheets which have been dried on an outside clothesline,.. Oh Well... Tis Life.
Hugs,
Betsy
Great shots, some paint would be needed indeed on the two first ones.
I wouldn't even think that fence was allowed at the front of a house like that.
