I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Fantastic combination!!!
I wish I could write or take pictures half as well.
Since I like to hug trees and talk to them too this post was my morning tea. Amazing.
Beautiful post. Years ago we made a trek up to the tiny town of Robbinsville, NC in our beautiful mountains. We had one of the best hikes through Joyce Kilmer National Forest. It was early morning and many views skyward were exactly like your photo...minus the palm tree? Lol
Hugs

Very nice post. Thank you.
Yes, the importance of trees is often so overlooked, Sandra. Joyce Kilmer is from our native home state of NJ too.

The Lord is the Lord and he is no perspective of person. In his eyes we are equal.
Your poem was nice. Your tree is Gods master piece and every living creature there of.

He surely did make all these gorgeous trees!
Enjoyed this post. It reminded me of a hike my husband and I took through the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, a 3,800-acre tract of virgin hardwood forest in North Carolina.
