Mosaic Monday - penguin

Glass Penguin you have never seen because I don't like it
Do read? if so do you prefer thriller/action/romance/historical fiction/true story/biography?

I read.. every day of my life. If you read, do you prefer a book of 300 pages or one of 900? I just finished two David Baldacci books and both were over 900 pages... I prefer smaller but I do love his books.

I read every day too!! I love the feel of a book, the smell. I just have not yet gotten into reading on my iPad.

I try to alternate between longer books and shorter books. I have a review tomorrow on a great mystery book I just ready by Sammy's mom. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!

hugs cecilia
ps I like the penguin

If I don't read some every day, then I am really, really sick. I read a little bit of everything...what I check for at the library and Amazon though is always true stories. First person accounts, usually. Of people that have homesteaded in Alaska, or early settlers of America. I am always on the lookout for a journal an early settler or homesteader.

Plus I read a lot accounts of the holocaust.

Oh, and also the Great Depression and Dust Bowl are two more things I am always on the lookout for.

That being said, I really like mysteries, too. (Which reminds me I like true detective/crime books) I really like Tami Hoag's mysteries, but she also rights some romance stuff and I am not into that. Then there is CJ Box...really like his mysteries...also Tess Gerristen and a lot more whose names escape me.

If it is a good book I don't want it to end so 900 pages would be perfect. A not so good book, I would quite before reading 900 pages.

I like to read books of short or long does not matter. Mystery I like. Horror stories not keen. Clean romance yes. Like I enjoy the romance of the stories of Amish Love and many other Amish novels.

I just finished a book life in Zimbbabwe . A story of a good friend and his wife Nora and Patrick. He is my pen pal when I was 60. The life he has been going though terible. The author is my friend of face book. She wrote the book that is in Nobles. It is called Thirty Seconds. Pam Schaafsma. The book is very good. I gave to my friend she is reading it.

I haven't done much reading the last few years - my eyes don't want to re-focus after reading for awhile.

since I've gotten my kindle I read almost every day. I don't care how long a book is so long as it holds my interest. I prefer mystery

You know I read :) If I have to hold the book I prefer them thinner! but if I read on Kindle or listen, I don't mind if a good story lasts a while. I like mysteries (but not too detailed when it comes to violence and forensics), and historical fiction if it's done with the proper research, and some children's books and fantasy... I'm also partial to British literature, both classics and more recent.
