Good Fence Thursday

Our fence  between our back yard and The Bratz Fort next door.

Back yard  gate.
We consider this a Good Fence, it keeps the dogs safe, protects neighborhood kids from our pool and gives us privacy.

Just for fun I ran Good Fence through Google Search and found there really is a good fence.

Bob's Nook Of Junk and plant hospital and his side of the gate.
That gate is 25 years old and still standing.

Good Morning Sandra, I like the shot of the moss on the fence. Interesting info on the term Good Fence. I am sure you enjoy your privacy from the bratz. Have a great day!

Twenty-five years is a long time! That gate must have been well made!

that gate if it had a lick or paint or some preserative and then it could last another 25 years! Interesting link about Good Fence even though it is not there now,

Nice - Yes, good fences do make good neighbors! LOL

our own fences are certainly good fences. :) sad that 'the good fence' was necessary because of war.

Ms. Sandra - You have 'done it'.
You got all my favorites - great photos, bicycles and tools.
Is that your bicycle (I know some women who ride a bicycle with a top-bar)?
The second photo reminds me of the movie, "Golden Child", where Eddie Murphy stands on some pillars, where he has to jump one to the next and that requires a 'leap of faith'.
Beautiful post with beautiful fences and BICYCLE AND TOOLS :)

Have a Beautiful Day and thanks for visiting my site.

Peace :)

I gather that the "Bratz" next door must not be your favorite kids. It would be fun to have a fort like that.
Loved the moss on your fence. That was a neat shot.
Enjoyed the plant hospital shot too and the information on the (Good Fence). Enjoyable post.

I'd say that having a fence keeps the unwanted dogs from coming into your yard and keeps your Jake and Baby safe from them. I can't get my husband to put up a fence in our yard. We wouldn't need a privacy fence. Just something to try to keep people out of our yard.

Interesting facts on the "Good Fence."
Love the B&W with a splash of color!

Wow! Your first shot looks like some kind of forties retro art shot. The black and white of course, but there is something else about it, and I CANNOT put my finger on it! WHAT is it? The fence moss macro is fabulous. If you look at it with no pre-conceptions, it looked like a strange ancient fan!! Until I read what it really is. People say there are no good fences, but I think we need to take it case by case. And your case really needs one. A barrier against Bratz attacks and drownings, and to keep pets safe.

Fascinating bit of information on Good Fence.
I sure didn't know that.
So glad you have a fence between you and the Bratz Fort.....

I sometimes wish we had a privacy fence around our yard. I like that second picture.

Love the fence shots and the info. My parents' neighbor had a tall wood fence and a dog...it was always funny to be out in their yard, and see ONE EYE of the dog, peeking thru at us!

I like them all, but expecially the one looking down the fence.
