If you are a Mac user, skip this post... If you have Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 Microsoft will give you Windows 10 for FREE as a download on July 29th.... To reserve your copy now, look to the bottom of your screen, right hand side of start bar, and find the little white windows logo, click on it and reserve. When it comes out you will receive it as a download... Rich pointed this out to me, and I have reserved it for my laptop and PC....

I am not sure I am going to do this...I just wonder how many bugs will need to be worked out. I guess what I need to do is read about it more. I have known about it being free for a while, but had not thought to tell anyone.

I am afraid to get the first version. They always seem to come with some kind of problems. I see the windows icon on my screen too.
i'm with the others. was hesitant to take the upgrade. wasn't sure my older laptop would handle an upgrade well, either, and didn't want to mess with 7 as long as it still functions.
Oh dear mom loves free things but she is such a frady cat when it comes to downloading new software. Hiya Jake you pin up critter you!

Hmmm. I'll tell my husband but I have a feeling he's going to want to wait.
I hope it's a big improvement over 8 and 8.1...I am still trying to figure that out on Marcy's computer.
I will probably reserve mine too but I do hate change!

I had noticed the icon that popped up at the bottom of my screen on the bar. Thanks for telling us about it. I will probably not try to upgrade since my computer is slowing down and beginning to give me headaches. It's getting old...like me...and probably wouldn't do change very well...also like me. :)
