Red Red Red and More Red

I stood staring up at the trees against the blue sky, my eyes lowered and 6 feet from my face sat Mister Carl Five Note. It is rare to see the cardinals sitting still. I called out to Bob, get my camera and slowly bring it to me. I stood frozen in spot, eased my hand out behind me for the camera and here he is..

While admiring him in my LED screen, I realize he was not the only RED in our yard... you know the rest of this story....

Amazing two flowers grew out of one limb, they are hooked together at the bottom, back to back.

Red is my favorite color. Love all the vibrant red accents you displayed in your images. Especially the bird.

That is a beautiful bird. We don't have any quite that colourful here! And you certainly found the flowers to match :)

I haven't seen a Cardinal in years. Mark thought he saw one in Arizona but I missed it. He is lovely!

I just love the cardinals- so bright and every time I see that flash of red I stop and look closer. Rarely do I have my camera in hand though.

I so miss seeing these beautiful birds. When we lived in St. Louis I loved looking out my window to see so many in our woods. Not very many colorful birds in Utah. And Sandra, the two first hibiscus photos are awesome. The lighting is beautiful.
