Iquana from my archives... take at Sarasota Jungle Gardens.
There were two of them, and I think they were male and female.. The color difference was the setting on my camera and I do not remember what I used.
he has such amazing details

He looks like a mini dinosaur . Great shots love the detail in the last one.
Hello Sandra, I love these iguanas. They are cool critters. Great shots, happy weekend!
I once knew someone who had pet iguanas. Yes, she was a bit eccentric.
I don't want to touch him but I sure like looking at him. I'm fascinated by these giant lizards. A week or so ago I saw a rather long lizard in my house (nothng like this of course). I haven't seen him since and twice now I've seen one that looks just like him out on the front porch so I'm really hoping he found his way back outside the same way he got in!
just awesome! the b&w really shows him off!
These are animals that I don't feel all warm and fuzzy about...I don't hate them or anything. But I would not want one. The kids find them fascinating...and I don't think I ever did.
As to the dog..yep made me smile.
Last week, we let Lorelei go across the street and visit the Big White Dog through the fence. Bianca is her name...and she loves children. When Lo came back home, she first started digging under the fence to try to come with her. I told Roger we are not going to be able to let Lo do that any more. Thank goodness she is not much of a digger so did not stick to it.
Amazing detail. Just incredible. I'm off to visit the link now.
Thx for that link - those photos were hilarious!!!
Ohhhh we love both photos of the Iguana!!!
Hugs madi and mom
That pooch had a wee bit of dirt on his nose. I think he was digging for fossils!

I've made some new friends today, Sandra. Thanks for sending them Smooch's way.
Looks a lot like me!
I do think Iquana's can be very cute. Our son had one for a few years.
I am so glad you are diving into your archives Sandra. I have always loved to look at Iguana's. They are so prehistoric looking and yet really handsome.
When I was little my cousins had a pet iguana. I was always scared of it. These are awesome shots. They really are fascinating creatures
Iguanas are such fascinating creatures but scary to me.
The black and white really shows the texture and detail.
Despite his creepy look I did have to enlarge it to see all those scales.
Absolutely beautiful!
I think, for pets, I will stick with dogs.
I love Lizards. We had an Iguana (Louie) that grew to be almost 6ft. long from head to tail. He escaped once and we found him sunning himself on the neighbors storage shed. We had to use a fishing net to get him off the roof.
