Last weeks sunflower has been fun to watch as it closed it's petals...it appears to be dancing
to see what it looked like open HERE

The odd thing is, the second flower on same stem, is the one below. the first one had 16 petals, this one has only 5. And the center is totally different.. same plant, and only 4 inches from the big one.
Strange...
But I did have fun because Bob the Photo Bomber kept appearing in my pics, he is in all three in this collage, can you find the bomber?

I thank Bob kinda likes being the object of your snapping affections.

Funny how the flowers on the one plant can look so different from one another. Funny how Bob turns up in so many photos.
Yep, I see him...aren't sunflowers just the most photogenic flower you ever saw???
That is fun about the petals being different. Oh yes, I see Bob. Whenever I am preparing to take photos of a teapot, flower etc., here comes a cat. I always have to wait for said cat to snoop and see what I am up to before I can snap the picture!
Happy July Sandra!
Have a good one!

Save the seeds and maybe the next batch will be bigger. They are pretty no matter how many petals they have.
I see him!
They are wonderful flowers. And you should use these to persuade Bob to pose properly instead of just lurking in the bakgrund ;)
It is interesting how two flowers on the same play can be so different.
Interesting how different the two are. I found Bob in two of the pictures but couldn't find him in the bottom right one
I am a huge fan of sunflowers and your photos are wonderful.
I hope that you are having a good summer:)
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
What beautiful yellows....and I got a giggle out of Photo Bomber Bob!!!
really beautiful, sandra.
Oh my gosh, I just love, love, love your first image. I feel I can reach right through my computer screen and touch those delicate petals. You know, sometimes husbands just need to be the center of attention!! HaHa
Happy July to you and Bob! Beautiful sunflowers are so evocative of the season.
I love sunflowers. How strange that the second only had a few petals.
I saw his white head bobbing about. Interesting sunflower with few petals.
Love the photo bombs.
Also love the sunflowers and the differences in the blossoms.
I guess they are like us humans....all different but from the same stem.
Sunflowers to me opened or closed are beautiful and amazing plants. Your pictures are amazing too sweet Sandra. Hugs
