Good Fence Geese

I assume Geese can't read, since they were all parked right by the fence yelling at me to give them food. I think that is what they were saying. Photos taken at Bishop Animals Shelter.  Yes, they have to rescue geese.

Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.... Oscar Wilde

I asked Goosey Loosey if she knows Henny Penny and she said no

A fun post to read and see your great photos of the geese - not so fun that geese need rescuing.

I wonder how long they stay at the rescue place and where they end up at. Fun shots!

Great shots of the different geese waiting for you at the fence. I think it's wonderful that they rescued these geese.

I think those geese may be from around here. We've seen many of them already heading south. Maybe a harbinger of an early winter around here.

Best,
Bonnie

I never thought about Rescued Geese before. I guess they need help too.
We have about 10 geese that live in the apartment complex a few blocks from us.
They have a pond with a fountain that the geese think is their own.
Just about every day they fly in formation right over our house to go to another house that also has a pond. They fly so low we could almost touch them. I love their calls as they go over head. It makes me feel like I'm in the country while in the suburbs.

Then only sign they obey is the "Goose Crossing" one. Here's a post from 2012 with them trying to read a sign: https://pattisjarrett.wordpress.com/2012/12/12/wordless-wednesday-14/
