The Rain by William Henry Davies
I hear leaves drinking rain;
I hear leaves drinking rain;
I hear rich leaves on top
Giving the poor beneath Drop after drop;
'Tis a sweet noise to hear
These green leaves drinking near
.And when the Sun comes out,
After this Rain shall stop,
A wondrous Light will fill Each dark, round drop;
I hope the Sun shines bright;
'Twill be a lovely sight.

Good morning, I love the dramatic sky shot and the poem. We could use some rain here, it has been dry lately. Have a happy Sunday and new week ahead!
Moody sky there! And very nice photo of that single leaf!
I liked that. Happy Sunday. Hope you are feeling better.
Great photographs to go with great words.
That is a lovely poem and that is one mad sky !!!!
I love your new header and the wild-looking sky shot. Brilliant poem too, I've never heard it. Thanks! Jo
love the moody sky.
I've never seen that poem before. I like it. I can't remember the last time we had rain. There's been a few days where it looked like it was going to but then it cleared up before a single drop fell
Ah yes,we have enjoyed some of that sweet rain in the last day or so.
I love both photos, and really like the poem.
Beautiful! We could really REALLY use some rain!!!
Such a lovely poem. I really liked that sky shot at the end. We've had rain recently and it's been wonderful.
Beautiful light on that leaf!
A perfect leaf portrait, and a sky beyond words.
