Humpty Dumpty sat in the nook

Candle Holder -Deceased 1994-2016 Humpty Dumpty Syndrome
 My candle holder breaks,
And Now My head aches.
Humpty Dumpty can't go together again,
It is now resting in the garbage bin..
Before I  get madder
I grab the ladder.
Open the cabinet door
And I do find More.
All is well,
as this story I tell.
I was so mad I could spit,
But The nook is still well lit.
washed and waiting to go back on the shelves

Most of you know my Nook is full of lights and GLASS and that I have a love/hate relationship with it because it requires washing. You do not know that I have a cabinet over the fridge that holds the over flow of years of buying glass I did not NEED.

Feb 2016 new look

Above is the replacement.. below shows the 2 inch candle holder, subject of a post last week, and the 6 inch candle holder. With the aid of 2 globe only candle holder, the deceased has been replaced.

The Moral Of This Story, is be careful how you wash your glass and always keep a back up ready.

I love your nook and your poem. So sorry to hear about the dearly departed though. I could never have anything like this because it would never get washed. I believe the last time I dusted was 2014...lol

Oh I love your glass collection but I am glad I don't have to wash any of it. Keep posting about the beautiful pieces and lights in them, dear friend...

Cute rhyme. Due to cats, the only place I have pretties is in the china cabinet but they get dirty/dusty and I despise cleaning them. I usually chip something just cleaning! I sure enjoy your sparkling nook.
(p.s. like you, I have back-up pretties in the high kitchen cabinets!)

I also love glass but with 5 cats it's not wise to have too much about, I keep things to a minimum.

I LOVE your light and glass photos! And of course I have too much of EVERYthing and am trying to get rid of lots of it. I have cleaned out closets and dresser drawers and showed the AFTER results to my daughter in law. Poor girl. I started laughing halfway through the 'tour' because I realize that to her, they all still looked like BEFORE. LOLOL Oh well.

Well then, for once you can be glad that you did hold on to the things you thought you did not need... ;)

We are soooooo sorry for your loss, but totally understand your glass addiction because I too, suffer from the inability to say no to glass baubles!!

What a clever "obit"!
Your nook makes me long for a space to display my own mother's crystal. (I keep forgetting my aim is to downsize!)

So sorry for your loss. I suspect I may have the same syndrome. Glad you had a back up. Your glass and lights are beautiful.

Sometimes you just wonder how these things slip out of our hands and there is no water to blame? I have dropped things and looked at my hands thinking how did that happen? Your nook is really beautiful with those pretty lights and all the glass.

Oh no! I'm sorry that happened. You do have a lovely collection.

Humpty Dumpty sat in a nook
To save himself from falling below
He shoved the shinny glass thing to the floor below
Leaving poor Sandra to clean up the mess
And giving her something to post on the net

You have a lovely collection. I wonder how dust gets into the china cabinet with doors on it?! Mine needs a thorough cleaning.
