Emerson Point Preserve Walkabout

Bob Indiana Jones and I went walkabout at  Emerson Point Preserve Wed. morning. We went UP to the top of the Indian mound. The mound and trees are my favorite part of the preserve but all of it is gorgeous.  The preserve has giants that are 150 years old and thousands of trees of all kinds. the day was perfect. no bugs, no heat, no humidity. just sunshine and US. abd the Nikon.

Down by the river.... (these guys were so far out I could not tell if they were men or women, but with the trusty Nikon zoom, we could now identify them if needed. I noticed they both have beards just like Bob's but they also have pony tales.

We went deep into the woods and I took 257 photos... well, make that 256  because he took the lower photo of me standing in the roots of the fig tree to give you perspective on the height of those roots. Note the one I am leaning on is waist high on me.  More photos to come, but then YOU KNEW THAT!

Those trees look like they could walk about--at night. Do you think they do?

I enjoy trees too. The first one looks like a alligator to me. Awesome Sandra. What an experience to see all shapes and then the bridge. Lucky you.

I was happy you got to go walking and the climate was perfect.

Thank you for sharing.

Those tree roots are amazing, Sandra, glad they didn't wrap you up! Ina way, they reminded me of the lizards you often post photos of.
