A Tale of Four Dogs..

Max was our first dog that owned us.. He moved with us to this house in 1989 from the one where he was born in St Pete FL... Baby was 2nd, Cooper 3rd and Jake 4th.  Jake is our only living pup now and I am sharing a few things I remember from 30 plus years of our beloved pups.

Our sliding glass door, opens on both sides, but we use only the one on the left. A few years back, the roller ball quit rolling and we had to open the other side. At the time Baby, Jake and Cooper, none of them would go in the back yard through the other open door. we tried treats, going out first, they refused. Bob had to go to the store and buy a roller and repair the door.

Baby was the bad girl... she ate my drivers license and numerous magazines and books. She ONLY ate Bob's Books and she only ate them when she was angry. As in when she would not stop barking in the back yard and he put her in the house... she would drag the rug from the door to living room, as if to say Take That... she ate a 125.00 check, she pulled CDs from their case. But only when she was upset.

Oh my, a mad Baby was worse than my Bandit, who also ate my driver's license, $12.00, and my wallet.

Oh dogs...you have to love them. Mine always barks when the doorbell rings...normal enough. But my sister had my dog and brought him home to me. She rang the doorbell from the outside with the dog and the dog still barked. I guess it doesnt matter which side of the door he is on when the doorbell rings. LOL!

I have heard there are never bad dogs only bad dog owners. I enjoyed reading about and seeing your cute spoiled furbabies. I miss all my old dogs, I wish they were still here. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

I don't think I have heard of a sliding door that worked from both sides! Also I think it is rather funny that they would not go out through the other door. Oh my, Baby was a bad girl for sure!

Oh yes, dogs are so rigid and inflexible! Once Bridger was walking through a doorway and a piece of wire shelving fell across his path. He never ever went through that doorway again - even in another 10+ years! Don't we love these critters!!! xoxo arf

DeLIGHT-full post, Sandra.
Your Baby sounds like the kind of gal who knew her own mind ... and wasn't afraid to let you know what she wanted, when she wanted it (giggles)!
