Do You Know These Men?

51st Street has been closed for several months. I took this because it was dark and I wanted to...
Do you know any of these men?
Hieronymus Bosch, Jack Reacher, Jack Ryan, Joe Pike and Elvis Cole?
These men are just 5 of my most favorite characters in series books.
My Kind Of Men... Jack Reacher is my most favorite of all...

Hieronymus Bosch- LA detective by   Michael Connelly
Jack Reacher - former MP by  Lee Child
Jack Ryan -CIA by Tom Clancy
Joe Pike and Elvis Cole -Private Investigators   Robert Crais

I love books and movies that are full of these Acronyms. UNSUB, CI,  ADA,  VICAP and I know them all.

Sample sentence…They caught the murderer because the CI gave then the name of the UNSUB and after running the name through the FBI’s VICAP, they called the ADA to come down and do a DEAL…

Watching a movie, Bob will say “Who is he,” I answer.. “He is the CI”   Bob says “What?” I answer “Confidential Informant.. in your world that means Tattle Tale…
I read so many books I am a forensic specialist, a detective, an agent.

While writing this post I thought about this…. All the men in the books are …

Super Strong, Stubborn, Quick to jump in problems, never listen. Know what to do and when and how. , Will fight a tiger or a 7 foot man, with or without a gun.. Can fix or repair anything, come out on top no matter what happens. They Never STOP, they keep on keeping on…with GRIT.. Quick thinking…
and I just described my husband Bob…
Now I am wondering if these guys drape shirts on chairs, pants on swings, towels on bar stools?  I know Jack Reacher doesn’t because he only owns one set of clothing and it is on his back.

I've heard of some not because I read those kind of books but Bill does. He likes Reacher too.

Good morning, Sandra. I am a Clancy fan. So I do know Jack Ryan. I do love these murder mysteries too, they are my favorite. I guess you could work for the FBI!

Enjoy your day and the new week ahead!

That's the kind of books I like to read also. Now I'm wondering if Jack Reacher only owns one set of clothes what does he wear on laundry day?

I know them and I suspect they do the same as Bob does behind the scenes.

Heroes. The only one I know is Jack Ryan. But I like him. :-)

I know the two "Jacks"!! And, let me say that, in my opinion, Tom Cruz was the worst choice ever to play the part of Jack Reacher in the movie!! I think my most favorite character is Alex Cross followed by Lucas Davenport. And, to add to your investigative "vocabulary", I recommend Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta.
Happy sleuthing!!

Best,
Bonnie

I also know the two Jack's and just love anything crime/mytery like! I do like both strong female and male characters, Kay Scarpetta, Tempe Brennan (in the books) and even Eve Dallas in the futuristic J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) books along with Alex Cross, Jack Reacher and Jack Ryan top my favorite character list.

You should get together with Tom, he loves these and is up to date with most of them, all bar the last two, he hasn't read these.
We started the Bosch series on tv but couldn't get to grips with the actor.
Tom likes Reacher the best also.
I like Peter robinson but I'm not sure if you have him over there.

I believe I know two of the names. These are the type of books Mark likes to read.

I have not read any of these books but I remember having a crush on Mannix, back when that was on tv.

Love mystery books but seem to be out of the reading mode at the moment.
They all sound like perfect examples of your Hubby...

You always make me smile!!! I love the same kind of books. Amber likes Stuart MacBride- he writes books set in Aberdeen Scotland and is pretty 'gritty' as Amber calls it!!!

Acronyms make me crazy because I can never remember what they stand for and I WANT to know so I am always googling them.
