Our orange hibiscus are in full April bloom..
Do you get ear worms, songs that get stuck in a loop in your brain and will not stop? Bob and I do and we pass them back and forth. Our favorite TV series this time of year is The Voice.. Back in Feb in the blind auditons, we listened to maybe 12 songs and the next day I had the Song and could not let it go...
Blue Bayou sung by Alison Porter..... Do you have this problem? Is it a problem? And I wonder how the brain picks one song from a dozen?

love the hibiscus!
Love the color of the hibiscus.
I hum to myself all the time and get one song on my mind - sometimes it is not even one that I've heard lately! One of The Voice contestants is the son of the guy who wrote Afternoon Delight from the late 70's - a song that was popular when I was in college. Ever since I heard the song title, I have been humming it...over and over and over!!! lol
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I love the orange hibiscus...reminds me of orange sherbet.
Songs like Blue Bayou...have such a catchy sound and the words make you pay attention. My ear worms are brain worms. We see or think of something from the past trying to remember an actor or the name of a show. Drives me crazy when I cannot think of the name

Funny, Sandra, when I first read the post title, I was actually thinking if a worm in the ear as a physical ailment. My mind was somehow connecting it with the hibiscus, duh. And yes, I do know what it's like to hear a meloday and then have it repeat all day. The internet statio, Pamdora, is on 24x7 in our place so there's never a lack of songs in our heads.
Oh yes... we have the ear worms and the trouble is, like you say it goes from one to the other, we usually try singing a hymn when the said song comes around again it usually works.

Good morning, Sandra! Your orange hibiscus is beautiful. Yes, I have often had songs stuck in my brain. I usually have to hear it first and then my brain is stuck on the song. Do you have a favorite on the Voice yet?
Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
When you have little ones... Nursery rhymes often get stuck in one's head... Lovely hibiscus!
I appreciate the beautiful flowers.Yes,I do get a song in my mind and can't,or don't even want to get it out of there.I will wake up with a Gospel song in my head and am reminded of it all day. That's not a bad thing,as far as I'm concerned.
What beautiful hibiscus! I really loved seeing all the different variations while we were in Hawaii!
...and now I have Linda Rondstat's Blue Bayou as today's earworm ;-)
Wonderful photos of the hibiscus, Sandra!
I, too, get plagued by earworms. In fact, another blogger just did a post on the Flintstones - so now I've that theme song going round and round and round in my head.
that hibiscus is so pretty. I do have that problem all the time with songs. There's been one that has been stuck in my head for a couple weeks now. For some reason every morning it pops in my head and I hum it off and on all day long. So long as it's a song I like I don't mind
Yes, I do have that problem...also, a lot of times, just a simple phrase will bring a song to mind.
And any time I see photos on blogs and it shows the bird actually walking...Walk This Way comes to mind. ALWAYS.
That is one catchy tune for sure. Samson sleeps under my antique desk or next to my bed. But he always moves to the hallway to sleep on the cool slate tile there. Winter and summer both. Poor boy should live in Siberia.
Pretty hibiscus. What a delight to see spring springing forth! Apparently all our brains are wired the same when it comes to music.
You got a beautiful shot of the hibiscus. I didn't click to hear the song because yes, I would get an ear worm! :)
I had no idea where you were going with ear worms!!! EW!!!!!
Yes, we DO get them and sometimes I HATE that!!! LD is always playing some song and when one sticks in my brain, I can't get it out until ANOTHER one come along to take its place!!!
We have Hibiscus in the yard now and they are blooming like crazy. Had them at our last house but now here until about a month ago when we redid a few sections. Yes I do get songs stuck in my head! I enjoy watching the voice.
