Mother's Day 2016

1986 Daddy, my son David, grandson Joshua, Me and my Sweet Mother.
I miss my mother when I buy something new, when something hurts, when bad things happen. I miss her on holidays. She loved all things holiday from food to decorating. She died in 1990, before I could make a dozen calls a day, calls back then cost a fortune for each call, and I only talked on week ends. Once a week. If she were here now we could talk every day. I had to mail photos of new things for her to see when I bought them, Now she could see them instantly.  Happy Mothers Day Mom up their in heaven.

Daddy, Mother, brother David 1963

Wow!! Every time my mom called me...after she said hello darlin' she'd say
"my question is". No clue why she rarely had a question it was just something she did.
Hugs and Happy Mother's day to you too

4 hours on the road and 6 hours involved in functions.
Hugs madi your bfff

Moving reflections. Maybe our moms have met in heaven. It comforts me to think of my mother there, whole, healthy and rejoicing.

Happy Mother's Day to you, too!

Yes. My own mother has been gone 12 years, but whenever something (cute/pivotal/sad) occurs I instinctively think, "I've got to tell mom!"
Then I remember ... and it hurts all over again. Still, I'm eternally grateful for the memories.

Love seeing everyone's 'olden' photos ... yours are no exception!

That's a wonderful tribute to your Mom.
I feel the same way....calling was such a big deal...and just catching up on life could get complicated.
Hope you are having a nice Mother's Day anyway.

Such a sweet tribute to your sweet mother. I know how much you miss her, I feel the same way about mine. I'd love to be able to talk to her again, even just one more time.
I enjoyed seeing your photos. Hope you had a nice weekend!

Belated Mother's Day wishes to you Sandra, and thanks for sharing your feelings and photos about your own mother. Those of us who can no longer call our own mothers can well know what you have posted her.

Lovely photos. Our Mother's Day is not until the end of May. My mum was never much for chatting on the phone... I still remember my parents' phone number though, although that's no longer of any use at all!
