I Never Touch Tools

We have two  12 inch Mini Desk fans.. One is on the floor soothes me to sleep at night and stirs the air without blowing directly on me which causes dry eyes and aching bones. The other moves where and when needed.

The  greasy dust  stopped them blowing air... I tried blowing it off with expensive canned air, but all that did was waste air.

I decided to take them apart and clean them.. HA... the 4 screws are almost as small as my eye glasses screws. so tiny it requires a magnet and a teeny tiny screw driver.

I NEVER touch bob's tools !!
A. because that is NOT allowed
 B.  I OFTEN break HIS rules, but I can't find the one I want because I don't KNOW the one it needs.
C. anything tiny makes me CRAZY!

.. I requested he remove the screws and then I would clean them and he could put the screws back.
(yes, there was a method to my madness)

Voila! without me touching a single tool or fan they soon appeared  like new.
Positive Wind Tunnels now and so quiet due to a few drops of oil in the right place.

My Plan  did require me to enter the kitchen when I heard HBO words floating down the hall....

I sweetly asked.... "did you lose a screw"?  NO! I can't find the HBO word Screw Driver. It was right here.... I calmly walked to the other side of the table to view from a different perspective while he was in the garage (insert HBO HERE) thinking he took it back out in the workshop. There it was, inside the fan, upside down..... Life Is So fun... I opened the door and said I FOUND IT....I DID MY PART... or the screws would still be on the table and not in the fan.  Did you notice I am sweet and calm? HA HA HA HA

Well done.Diplomacy at its best.

Ha!! That proves we ladies know just HOW to work around the psyche of our menfolk.

You did GOOD. Well, Bob too, but that must go unsaid.

Good thinking on getting the job done. Whenever I pick up one of Wade's tools he'll look at me with a rather scared look on his face and say what are you going to do with that?

You sure know how to be diplomatic, Sandra. I'm glad you have clean efficient fans again . Grant has the best-equipped [and tooled] workshop in the Southern Hemisphere,(seriously) but I wouldn't know where to find even a screwdriver. He does absolutely everything that needs to be done by a handyman. He even sharpens my lip - and eye pencil in his workshop. I have no interest and no finesse when it comes to tools! Thanks for a lovely post. Jo

You, m'dear, deserve diplomatic immunity! I loved this!

Ditto your distaste for anything tiny. My fingers are way too wide to coax miniatures, and I'm far too (HBO word) impatient!

Well, you certainly know how to work your magic.
Good for you knowing the right calm and diplomatic way to handle things...Bob.

I need to borrow your hubby as I have a fan or two that needs cleaning--I keep forgetting to try to find that really small screwdriver to use on them when I go shopping--I suppose I could go write it down on my list--but it is more Fun to say--I keep forgetting it!!
love and laughter,di

All that matters is that the fans are working again.

Good for you. That is a job I need to do too. Not find the screwdriver, I'm the fan cleaner.

You mastered it. I knew you would. Ha ha.

I am still in the cloud picture taking. Have not come down off my high horse.

Yesterday was beautiful, breezy and sun in ans sun out. I also added today a look at at our Art Art, crafts in the park . I know you have a lot I suppose where you drive through and forth. Art places are a thing of the past in your vocabulary. Ha-ha. I do not need anymore things in my apt. Too much walking for me and Sixty tents and many artist a wee over bearing for me. So I put up the site. In my Imagination blog today.

So I enjoyed with two of my camera's taking the clouds.

You are quite "sneaky" and also very funny. I chuckled at the HBO words!

I've often taken fans apart and cleaned the blades. Love how you worked it all out!
