Soda, Sun, Shade.....

I noticed the sunbeams hitting the Baking Soda Bob uses in the pool... After the sun moved I took a photo of it in the shade. Then I did the same with the Poinciana pod... the sun pulls out the details, even on a bag of soda...

The baking soda is in the spotlight! It's strange. The last two bags...the one in shade is brighter. The shade poinciana is duller and flat.

When I read your title I was thinking soda as in soda pop. But I suppose the color of this soda bag does pop a bit :) The baking soda bag and the poinciana are color coordinated

...and what a difference lighting has to do with photography. You've proved it here today.

I like the shadier of the items best.

Ya, WHAT a difference between the sun and shade shots! (Mebbe I shouldn't be so quick to curse the sun?)

I never heard of using Baking Soda on the pool. Will have to show this to Tom!

I didn't know that Baking Soda was used for pool maintenance!

I am thinking now that these are the perfect two things for comparison. One thing natural, and the other man made.

I think I had one of those seeds survive the winter!

I like the blooms the best. We call that type of baking soda : bicarbonate of soda and use it in food or baking. Is this the same type of stuff? I wondered why/how Bob used it in the pool. Have a great day. Jo
