Bob found this beetle floating in the pool and brought it to me to play with.. I snapped half dozen photos and sat it on the kitchen table because I wanted to take a few outside in leaves and bushes.
Fast forward 2 days later, I open the camera, see these photos and say
Bob do you know where the beetle is? he answered No, what did you do with it?
I say... I sat it on the table and forgot about it until I looked in the camera.
OMW it was dead wasn't it???
what if it was alive and crawls on me in the night?
What if it flies at me in the dark???

After searching high and low and in and out.....And NO WE DO NOT KNOW WHERE THE BEETLE IS.....

OH NO! This is horrible and nerve wracking! Was it really dead? Then Jake ate it. It is in his stomach, rest easy. Sheldon is a genius, he should have told you that. A very good picture, you even captured the icky fur on it (shivering now).
it looks like a rhinoceros beetle... totally harmless...
Some mysteries will never find answers I guess :)

Well Sheldon is a genius and if he doesn't know where it is than I would say you are safe from any night attacks; however, I'm available to do some night hunting if need be.

Oh girl, I would have rolled on the floor laughing, but I restrained myself. I wouldn't have been able to get up. So I made Hubby read it, too.

Why would you just leave it on the table? You can't just leave it there!!!!!! When it starts to get dark....get a falashlight out and check the corners of your kitchen......and.....pray it was not female and pregnant!!!!
