I drove through the park where Bob flies his radio control planes, because he said the trees are blooming.... There are maybe 100 of them and about 30 are in full bloom.
a few names the trees are called
Peltophorum pterocarpum (copperpod, golden flamboyant, yellow flamboyant, yellow flame tree, yellow poinciana, konda chinta or pachha .
My car under the tree, with the flowers falling like snow on the ground and car.
I sat in my car enjoying the beauty through the windows.. with AC pumping...

Oh Oh Oh!!! Though tired, I stayed up late hoping you would post at 1:00. I wanted to see the trees. They are amazing and give me goosebumps!! They are almost like something supernatural to me. And so glad you put your car there for perspective. This may be my favorite post of yours EVER! My eternal gratitude to Bob. I may have to save a few to look at when I want.
It's so hot here you can also only enjoy the views through an AC space. :) Love the yellow of the flower against the blue of the sky.
No matter what name it goes by, I'll call it pretty. What a gorgeous tree. I just love the color
ooh! gorgeous Sandra!
Beautiful!! They must be breathtaking in person.
Best,
Bonnie
I have seen the all 'red' ones in bloom [in Old Mexico] and the two tone red-orange and yellow...but never all yellow. NOR trees this huge.
Wow. Amazing.
What a glorious tree....that is a beautiful shade of yellow too.
I'll be glad when this summer is over way too hot.
Hugs Cecilia
sure are beautiful!
Good morning, Sandra! it is good you could enjoy these beautiful trees and blossom from within your air-conditioned car. They are pretty! Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!
I'm very impressed, they are gorgeous blossoms.
I couldn't begin to pronounce some of those ... so I'll sit a while and gaze at their beauty! :)
Absolutely gorgeous.
The trees are huge and the blossoms really do look like snow fall even if they are a beautiful yellow.
Beautiful Sandra.
Those trees are so pretty.
The tree's foliage looks similar to our mimosas. I Googled and found they are related! The Poinciana is a riot in bloom!
Oh, these trees are beautiful. I love the close up detail.
What gorgeous yellows!!
The trees are beautiful and the flowers falling on the ground below eeminded me of what happens in VA when the crepe myrtles would bloom in summer. Glad you stayed cool, Sandra.
Wow those are just stunning blooming trees. So very "tropical" looking.
