The Palms-Riverwalk 2016

Riverwalk in Bradenton is line with palms and places to rest.  How many of you could sit down in one of these and get back up without help? Not me.

You don't even have to grease my palm to read this story, you all come out of the woodwork each time I post... with fronds like you, I know I will always get a Yucca.

Did I hear you say I need to branch out? that I am barking up the wrong trees? Of course knot, I am knot a dumb ash.

Good morning Sandra!:) Well really! How low can you get! I would have to sit on the wooden bench, or the benches in your last shot, cos I'd have as much difficulty getting down, as getting up on the white recliners. Lovely photos though, and I love the Palm trees, and views, and you put a smile on my face with your puns. Have a good day!:)

I remember when we had one of those fold up loungers and loved to lounge but getting up of the things was a hazard, usually either the thing tipped or I did, lol

Good morning, Sandra! I love all the palm trees. The benches are way to low to ground for me. Cute puns and a pretty riverwalk. Enjoy your day!

what a beautiful boardwalk....but the puns are the best!! Bravo
What does the sign with 23 on it mean? As for the funky chairs that is a long way down. I'm not sure I could even get down that far w/o an arm rest or assistance. If I did it would be one hard kerplunk and well getting up
maybe that crane I see in the last photo could help me

I've been called worse..but I don't recall either you OR I being dumb ash.

Oh yes, I think I'd have to roll out of those on my hands and knees. Then pretend I'm doing my stretches before my long walk. That'll work, right? Then, when no one's looking.....Calling Bud.......Help me up for god's sake!!

Such a lovely place, but forget getting back up, I wouldn't even be able to sit down in one of those things!

those seats are not practical. It would be a struggle with me to get in and out of them. I roll out of things. :)
such a pretty area. I wish we were closer to the coast here.

Funny, because before I even read a word, I thought about these chairs. They are clearly art, and not meant for sitting. Have you ever seen anyone sitting in them? I would never in a million years be able to get up, or even DOWN. I have a friend whose sister came to visit her, and my friend's couch is way low. I always have to pull out kitchen chair when I come over. Anyway, the sister sat on the couch. It took an act of congress to get her up, and today she is having surgery for knee damage!! Nowadays I just have to eyeball something, and I know if I can sit in it or not. And don't even get me STARTED on toilets!! The handicapped ones are not high anymore!! They just add bars beside them. NOT the same thing! I love your last two pictures BEST! All the beautiful palms in a group, and they MATCH the sand!!! So God color coordinated the river area. And the last picture is divine! The raised bridge is framed by the palms!! Beautiful!!

You always make me smile when I read your plays on words. Too funny and no, I couldn't get up from those chairs either.
As far as my post, yes that photo was taken about 3 weeks ago. Doctor said I had the beginnings of diabetes and high blood pressure. Her orders were NO FLOUR...NO FRUIT.
That means meat and veggies and not much else. I have to admit I cheat once in a while...especially when these holidays are here. I need to loose at least 30 more pounds but those are the hardest to do. I have hit a plateau .
At least if I don't gain over the holidays I can get back into the mode. One perk is I have to get some new clothes. Nothing fits!

I think I would enjoy sitting on one of the benches looking out over the river, which is good because I could never be comfy on a cement lounge ;-)

That apartment/condo building looks like such a tranquil place in which to live!
... Not so much those so-called 'lounges.' What a hoot to have a motion-activated camera set up to capture folks trying to get up! (Yuppers, I watched too many episodes of Candid Camera!)

ROFL. I am not a dumb ash either which is why I probably would not even attempt to sit in that lounge

The palms are lovely. Looks like a nice area. No way I would get out of one of those loungers!

As nice as it would be to sit under those trees,I would never be able to get up once I got down on that chair.
