Self Care, a divine responsibility

Never let anyone dull your sparkle...

Every scar I have, makes me who I am
Self Care is a divine responsibility

We are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it... Rick Warren
The LORD is near to those who are discouraged; he saves those who have lost all hope.  Psalm 34:18

Definitely an important post for today! So many Christians wear themselves out helping out others. And yes, everything that has happened to us has made us who we are. Thanks to all the things that made you The Mad One!

So very true. After all, if we don't take care of ourselves, who will? Love the candlelight and the quotes

Thank you for an inspiring post. My camera has been dormant. Sometimes its refreshing just to sit back and enjoy the the works of my fellow bloggers. I have been absorbed in my other hobby, genealogy.
I especially like your Rick Warren quote. For now I will apply it to my genetic health and not accept that I just have to live with diabetes. I am amazed and thankful everyday for the improvement in my blood sugar reading and the added bonus of a loss of a couple pounds since I began reducing my carb intake.
How are you coming along with your goals?

Love this post. It's all so very true! I've often asked God if he really meant for me to handle such situations? lol He has given me more strength than I ever thought possible.
hugs,
Marie

Such great quotes and so true. Scars can and do change us, but we need to make sure it is for the better.

A word in due season, I'm sure.

I love the power in those words!

Self-care a responsibility? Funny, I never thought about it that way ...rather, I'd consider myself selfish for doing so. (pondering ...)

Beautiful candles to go with lovely words.

Great thoughts for everyday living, Sandra. As for myself I still consider myself as a work-in-progress and each day is hopefully better than the one before.

That was beautiful! I carry a lot of those scars as I am sure a lot of folks do. We just have to keep on keeping on.
