Through a glass darkly

Ginny and Jo always post gorgeous moon shots on FB and on their blogs. I saw Jo's post on FB the day of the time change. Gorgeous moon. I went outside and you can see what I got.. NADA.
Above, the camera slipped, below who knows..

Here is what I GOT... through a glass darkly....who cares about a silly old moon shot when I can get a photo of our recycle trash can, plus this is proof it was dark outside.

These are awesome! The moon is abstract to the point of being something else very cool! At first you don't know what the heck it is, pretty spooky. What went through my mind in order... A man outside with a flashlight, not good, an intruder! No, a comet! No, maybe a rocket. Or a blown street light. I love this because it is mysterious, spooky, and can be so many things. Lots of mysterious possibilities, and it made me shiver and wonder. You think you messed up, but you just turned it into something artsy and interpretive. Now it makes me think of the ink blot tests! Ask each person what they think it is, then psychoanalyze them!!! Freud Snapper!

Good Morning, You are one of the most talented photographers and editors I know. I wish I had your knowledge of computer programs. Your moon shots remind me of the old tv show Dark Shadows! Love the recycle bin! lol
Have a nice day.

I'm always in awe of Ginny's moon pictures. Not that I'm criticizing yours but they look like the ones I get...lol I am pretty fascinated by the light beam shooting up from the moon on the first picture. Is that an alien laser beam maybe? The second one looks like the moon is attempting to grow a beard because of the pine needles around it. Love it. So now after further consideration I've concluded that yours do not look like mine, they are way more fascinating.

I see my photographer friends posting on facebook the beautiful moon shots they get but they are more power lens then I do and theirs are so full and amazing! I love getting out there and shooting what I can with my lens.

Even the trash can is a photography beauty.
When I can figure out how to do the CD on the computer I will post it. My laptop has no place to insert a CD.

Wow Sandra! Your shot of the moon looks like a UFO or something else arriving from space. Fantastic visual effect. My moon shots never turn out, but I wouldn't mind if they looked like your first shot.:)

LOL on the recycling pix! At least you're lucky to have it nearby ... I have to hike to the garage for ours.
That middle shot is so crazy good. Makes me think of Rod Serling and the (real) Twilight Zone.
