Isn't this FAN-tastic? I am a big FAN of Air Conditioning, and this little sweetie at a cost of $16.99 has made our last 2 months Cool and Fantastic by conditioning our air with a little help from cool temps outside.
It also feeds my soul with love of sunshine and shadows when I walk in the kitchen.
Meanwhile on the opposite side of the kitchen and in the other end of the house, the sun shines on and on making shadows. Shadows make me HAPPY and YES Linda Chapman, I know this is not YOU...

I love those shadow lines on the fridge!! The fan is very cute and trim. And WOW to how the sun is shining on and through it!! It must really stir up the sunlight when it whirs!
It's really fantastic that you found cheep air conditioning AND that it works for you :D

I love fresh air, sunshine and shadows. In the late afternoon, the leaves on the trees make shadows on the wall in the sunshine in my room. Makes me happy!
I like the patterns of sunshine and shadow and I love having the windows open here. My neighbor just had and old fashioned screen door installed at her apartment. We had 2 screened porches when I was growing up.
Great shadows. I guess it technically qualifies as 'air conditioning'---whatever works. I also see a pull chain on the lamp by the bed. I have recently become a fan of those over switches---easier on arthritic fingers and less tipped shades.
I just love moody shadows!!!
The box fan in the window reminds me of my granny's house. When I married in 1980 my granny still did not have air condition and this is how she lived. Being pregnant and visiting her back then was not easy! I am a spoiled child of the easy life, central air!!!! LOL....but I do have fans in the bedrooms, the floor type that are on a stand to make life a bit easier and helps to move the air cond. air around better! Box fan on the deck.........Enjoy your shadows!
I am a big FAN of your posts :)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I agree with Denise in VA!!
I'm a fan of yours. I remember when the only a/c we had was window fans...
and at my Annie Ma's (maternal grand ma) we often slept on the summer porch when the cousins spent the night

love the sunshine and shadows! it makes me so happy to see both!! fresh air is the best!
it's sad that it's not safe in most areas to leave windows open while sleeping. I won't even do it on the second floor because I've seen on the news that criminals have gotten in homes by an open window on a second floor.
happy weekend to you!
hugs,
Marie
I love having a fan on. Of course I don't have a fan like that but I love our ceiling fans. Love the shadows.
Lots of interesting patterns can be seen in the shadows.
Neat, that fan being so narrow to fit on the window ledge, and so affordable!
When we get back I'm going to look for something like that on Amazon. Already, I won't turn on the oven; Tom's taken to calling me the kilowatt Nazi. We've ceiling fans in every room, but the cathedral ceilings make their efforts seem lame, lame, lame.
I've never cared much for air conditioning but then I've never lived in the kind of climate you do either. I prefer fresh air. I'm ok with fans though
Fans were all we used when I was growing up here in Florida before we got air conditioning in our house. We were so close to the ocean that we did have nice breezes though, so it wasn't too bad.
I suppose you like the John Denver song that goes:
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
