Tropicana Train-The Painted Train

After taking the silhouettes photos we were strolling along enjoying the view of the Manatee River.

Suddenly we realized the train was crossing the river and started to sprint walk kind of fast to get closer.
The Tropicana Train that comes once a day, takes about 6 to 10 minutes to pass, if stopped on one of our streets to wait for it to pass.
The Manatee River is a little over 3 miles wide, which makes me think the train is s about 2 miles long.
All I could do was zoom and snap, while screaming " it has 2 engines"  Bob said forget the engines look at the graffiti. ZOOM with me by clicking on photo to enlarge
Zoom..Snap

We live in Tropicana Country, it is a Juice Factory and has been here all my life.

You live there, and I drink it. Do you? Graffiti writing always has those same kind of letters, kind of fat and round. It's the same here, I don't know why. But I love seeing this huge train, and can hardly believe it is two miles long!!! And no caboose, totally improper!! I think with really long trains, they have to have two engines? I love the yellow train with the flag! I wonder why the Tropicana people don't wash it off? I guess as long as it's not offensive, they won't. Great pictures for a large moving object...crystal clear!

If your sprint/walk is anything like ours these days it was 2 steps forward and 1 step back, at least that's what it feels like, ha ha
I don't know where our spring has gone, lol

Wow, that's one long train. I would hate to have to sit and wait for that one. Is that whole train for Tropicana? That's a lot of oranges :) I like the car with the flag painted on it. As for the graffiti, it's kind of a shame that someone with the talent to paint that isn't using those talents for better purposes.

That is a wide river! The Ohio is only one mile wide here. Great pics of the Tropicana train. I used to love to watch for the caboose when I was young. I guess technology has made them obsolete.

That sure is a long train. At least you can be entertained by the art work while you wait for it to pass.

Hello, Sandra! It is neat seeing the train going across the bridge and river. The graffiti is colorful. I like the flag on the engine. I remember waiting for some long trains to pass while in Lakeland. Enjoy your day!

You know someone in my house is gonna love this...well in addition to me of course. I don't think personally have ever seen a train go over a bridge with that much water.

I love watching trains and most of them that you see today have tons of graffitti which is a shame but I have to admit...
It's fantastic artwork most of the time.
Glad you could capture it.

These are great photos of the train Sandra and also the graffiti. I wonder where it came from. I always enjoyed the long trains I saw all along our route but more noticeable on the long stretches out west. Some of them had three engines.

That would be so cool to see in person!
I love, love that yellow car with the American flag, but the graffiti is a super turn-off. Obviously, those spray-paint artists are hugely talented, but I'd just like to ask them, "Why?"

Sure hope that train's schedule doesn't take it through town during peak commute times!

How neat, great catch on the training crossing! Looks like the taggers have been at it with tagging the cars.
