Excercise In FUN!

6:40 AM, Wal*Mart is OPEN.. thus says the raven crow...

Photos taken through my windshield at 6:40 am Sunday morning
The sun rising to the East was reflecting on the clouds to the west, out over the beaches. The crow was taken looking East into the sun. NOTE the parking lot is empty, just the way I like it.

I only needed 6 items, but the ginormous store is great for a safe walk for exercise.

As  I wandered for 20 minutes reading labels on SMART TV's and Admiring the 65 inch screens... I noticed a lady with a heavy German accent try to communicate with  the ancient clerk (so sorry you have to work sweet lady) I heard the word Jeans and said I can show you. I walked  her to the jeans on the wall and by the look on her face and the skinny jeans she had on,  I led her to the Skinny Jeans on sale by the aisle and left her smiling and shopping.

Next stop  the Deli.. 3 women waiting. One ordered cheap turkey breast, I said is that any good? She said "I don't know,  it is for my dog, he will only take his pills wrapped in turkey breast.
The clerk laid the turkey, by cheap I mean 3.98 not 7:58, out and she tasted it and Said NO.. give me the Prima Bella low sodium Turkey Breast, and  when she tasted I did to and ordered a pound...

We had such a great time sharing dog/pill stories while waiting. She said nice to meet you and wandered away. I said to the clerk she was  buying that for her dog.. The Clerks look was Priceless, the turkey was 7 dollars a pound, her eyes got big and she yelled to the other clerk, That Woman bought that turkey for her DOG..... I left them shaking their heads ...had a nice chat with the cashier at the self check out...

Through my windshield as I left at 7:50
The story gets better as I drive home... I noticed a car stopped in the middle of 51st Ave. and thinking it was stalled slowed to a slow roll.
When I coasted up behind her, she pulled out and went around a TORTOISE, a really big one, right in the middle of my lane....
I pulled off the side of the road and walked back and noticed another car coming in the lane. I stood over the turtle holding up one hand waving, the other madly pointed down at the tortoise.

The car  stopped and I bent and carried it off the road, it was so heavy I dropped it in the grass.

. As I picked it up again to move it to safety , I realized the car I had stopped had pulled even with me and was sitting there.. Thinking, oh no, am I going to get yelled at, I turned to see my friend Georgia madly waving and screaming.. Good Girl! as we stood chatting more traffic came and I boogied on home to do this post......

FUN IS WHERE YOU FIND IT... It's the Little things that matter to me.....

Very pretty sky photos. I have memorized our WM because it is at the entrance to our subdivision and I go there just about daily for something to do! lol
Cute story about the turkey!

Good for you saving the turtle!

Is it not enough that we have to worry about Bob? Now you standing in the middle of traffic, sigh. ;) (the RG would have done the same)
A couple more pounds and you should be about ready for skinny jeans. I hope someone in a foreign country is as kind to you.

P.S. - For an empty store you did a lot of talking--haha!

How come Inever have fun Walmart trips like that? Although last week some guy came up to me and asked me if I lived in Albion. I said yes then he asked if I lived on a specific street and I said no. Next he asked if I drove acertain type vehicle. Then he told me i looked just like the woman who waved to him every morning.
I have a customer who occasionally orders donits and she always asks for a special one for her dog

This is why we all lneed be you so much! Now I would have enjoyed being with you doing all those things EXCEPT for the time! I roll over around 6:40! So grateful you are back to your happy self now that Bob is doing so well! Oh, the blessings of an ordinary day!

What a fun day!!! We talk to our walmart clerks all the time, specially the one here by us. Nothing like a small town to get good service.

A simple shopping trip can turn into an adventure and even an animal rescue, if you are alert to these things. Thanks for sharing your morning.

All of that excitement before 8 am!!! With the summer weather, all my neighbors are out on the porches here, so I get all the news that is news every time I walk outside. lol

Fun is where you find it and isn't that the truth? You are a tortoise angel!!! Loved the story about the turkey and the dog, and you meeting everyone.

So you said you only needed 6 things....did you leave with more? Cause I always end up with so much more then what I set out to get! Sounds like you had fun while in Wally World.

I lOVE LOVE LOVE your morning of adventure! The crow looks like a raven, maybe because he is fluffed up. Ravens have those neck ruffs, but bigger beaks than this bird. And the clouds!!! My favorite shot of them is three, if you count the crow. Also the one with the water tower. Before the morning was even done, you did at least two good deeds!! Plus likely saved a very old life. My friend Vergie buys Sara Lee turkey breast at the deli for her cat. He has almost no teeth left and is also picky. This is the second night you have surprised me by not posting at 1:00 A.M.! Now I will go to bed early. I always love your days and reading what has been happening to you.

I loved this friendly ordinary post, you making the most of your time out and about. I think there are so many people who simply need a smile or a short chat to make their day. Loved the dog story. Lol

Hello Sandra, while we were in Florida we enjoyed our Walmart shopping early in the morning. I remember our dogs getting their pills wrapped in lunch meat and cheese sometimes or peanut butter. Your clouds and dramatic sky looks pretty. You are brave to rescue the turtle out in the street. I have gone around them plenty of times, hubby has picked up a huge snapping turtle one time to helped it across. What a fun adventure! Enjoy your day!

A morning full of good deeds, it seems! (No picture of the tortoise?!) Did you buy your turkey for yourself or for Jake??

It shows that all it takes is a friendly smile and chat to make all of our day.
I do try to make small talk with people in line too. Makes me feel good. Great photos of the morning clouds.

Why, you tortoise save you!!! That was the cherry topping on your WalMart trip. Sweet.
Oh ya, I like it the same as you do....no cars, very little shopping, and able to walk around without crashing into other shoppers.

Now....expensive turkey for a dog? I wouldn't....no, I probably would. They're family.

THIS. What a feel-good share!
I didn't realize Wal-Mart opened that early! Ya, that's the best time of day to get out, before the crazies.

Like you and the tortoise, the turkey lady's someone after my own heart. When I co-existed with 'Mr. Wrong', he'd only buy Boars Head hot-dogs to give the egrets. Have to admit, it was a kick when, after a while, one fella overcame his fear and ventured inside!

That was quite and adventure. I'm glad you helped the lady find her jeans (wish I were skinny enough for skinny jeans) - Oh that was so sweet of you to help that tortise out. Loved those fluffy clouds.
