Photo from the Past

Lunapic edit of photo from archives
I have maybe 100 CD's in a drawer, all photos starting in 2002 through 2008 . That is how I stored photos back then, now I keep them on 3 different external hard drives. I never look at them and have decided to look at one once a week or so.. this was taken Dec 21, 2007 on Coquina Beach Bayside.

Your edit is gorgeous! I like it much better than the original. Is that name after the little frogs, coquis? I guess they are not in this country though.

What a fun project to choose an older photo to edit. I love this peaceful scene. Wishes for a nice day.

Very nice photo. That is great that you have so many to revisit and now you can tweak them with Lunapic.

Hello, I love the scene, the color of the boat is one of my favorite colors. It looks beachy. Both images looks great to me. I have two external hard drives and I may have to buy a third one soon. The hard drives are so easy to use, I never look at my old CD's any more. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day!

Thats the trouble with technology. It keeps changing so often. It used to good to store photos on CD's now its external Hard drives...what next?? Love the boat in the foreground, makes the shot.

Great idea. I used to store mine on disc and file that disc in a manila env. with what photos are stored in there. Now....lol...they are just on my computers. I need to store them somewhere. Need to get busy working on that, it as a goal when I retired but other things include health has taken that stuff over. Great pic by the way.

It's good to go back and revisit the old pictures. Just a thought from my point of view. I find it much easier to go back and look at old pictures when they are stored in an online service. I used to use Flickr but am currently in the process of moving over to Smugmug. I also have all my photos on Google Photos and that is a free service.

I really like both versions...but when expanded, your edited version wins!

As we amass our huge photo collections on so many different technologies I wonder if any will be of interest to those we leave behind when we move on? I have old albums made by my Mom from before my time that I study and wonder who and where or even when btween !928 and 1943 the events took place. Her memories left with her and I am left guessing. I wish there had been some words or event dates and places left with them.
I have noticed my own kids care only for the odd photo of their youth and family time together. They are more intersested in making their owm photos.

Hello Sandra!:) Love both photos!:) It's a great beach scene. You are so good at editing, and storing your old photos. All mine are on the computer. I never thought to make a CD or put them on hard drive, but at some stage I will have to do something about it. Looking forward to you showing some of your old ones.:)

The original is great but the edit really makes it pop. Love it.

The boat makes a great subject. I have photos on CDs and the cloud. I've been going through them, getting rid of some (How many cute squirrel pix does one person need?) to free up cloud space. Plus, I'm labeling them with keywords so when I need one it will show up in a search, and marking favorites that I want to print for scrapbooking.
