Time After Time After Time

What did the beach say as the tide came in? Long time no sea.... (this post will not be much fun because this was the only pun I could find...

but I did find a joke..

BLONDE: “Excuse me, what time is it right now?”

  • WOMAN: “It’s 11:25PM.”
  • BLONDE: (confused look on face) “You know, it’s the weirdest thing, I’ve asked that question thirty times today, and every time someone gives me a different answer.”

  • I love my watches BIG and BOLD  with big black numbers I can read.

I have TWO... 7.99 each.. The reason I have two, the big one on the left, the strap broke. It cost 7.99 for a new watch and 12.99 for a band for the 7.99 watch.  I came home with the second watch and Bob had repaired the band... WOO HOO..

Do you wear a watch? Digital or Non-digital? How many do you have?
I actually have four watches, I forgot the two bracelets that were a gift. The batteries are dead and I have NO TIME to go buy the batteries. CLICK HERE to see the other two watches if you feel you can't sleep tonight wondering what they look like...

NOTE: I have a soap box sermon on things that require batteries but will spare you that. for NOW

I have a few watches, but only wear them as jewelry. This is why. I always forget to pull out the little stem so the watch stops running. So they sit in my jewelry box and run down till they don't work anymore. So I usually just use my phone to know the time.. I love your first picture!!!! Whoohoo, now you have an extra watch!!

I have one watch, a big digital. It is a man's...it is a Timex Iron man and I got it because used to I could read the numbers at night without glasses. (Press a button and they glow)

Talk about sparing a sermon...how about writing one on toilet paper. I cannot do it and do it funny. But do you ever notice how they all say GIANT ROLLs...one roll equals two or one roll equals 4...just how little do they think the rolls used to be?

Besides the fact, the place I used to keep toilet paper, I could only stack two, then it started being some I could stack two and others three. Now, I can stack 3 of any brand I get. LOL

I have wondered how Jake is doing off and on all evening...

I am up late - it's been a long Quad Monday - and STILL Ginny beat me to the comments!!
No, I don't wear watches anymore. Not sure why. Maybe because my hands are so old and ugly and I don't like looking down at them. Also, they are just one more thing to deal with - to put on and wind or check the battery and I have clocks in every single room in our house as well as in the front yard and back.

I could NOT sleep through the night until I saw the link to the other two watches you have! NOW I am ready to go to bed. Thank you!!

I always wear a wrist watch when I go out somewhere, but I always take it off indoors at home - where I have other clocks to look at in every room. Outdoors I find it practical to wear a wristwatch rather than having to look at the phone every time (since I'm not one of those people always holding the phone in my hand, but usually have it tucked down deep in my handbag)... I think I only have one working wrist watch at the moment. As I like it, I prefer to keep that one going rather than buy a whole new watch every time the battery runs out, or a new wristband is needed! - even if it has been pointed out to me once or twice, that buying a new watch would be cheaper.

Cute post. I have a box full of watches but no batteries. We discontinued our cell phone service but I use our old flip phone as a watch in my purse! lol

I always word a watch like that when I was working so I could see it at a glance. I still have it and it's still working!

Hello, I stopped wearing a watch. If I am out I use my cell phone to see the time. I do have a collection of broken watches and bands.

Cute beach pun and I enjoyed the blonde joke. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!

Like Ginny, I only have watchs as jewellery; a gold one and a silver/gold one depending on what other jewellery I wear. I love knowing the time. i used to have a clock in every room when I had a real house. Now I have a huge clock in the rondawel; I check the time on my phone and also on my laptop screen. I had a chuckle at your story about Bob fixing your strap; that's the type of thing that happens to me !

After above comment, I turned off the comment and then my light and lay down to sleep. I tossed and turned and couldn't think why I was struggling to sleep. Aha. I need to know what Sandra's other two watches look like. I got up, turned on my laptop, logged into Blogger and the link on your post. Yay! After this I could sleep! (beautiful watches by the way! )

I have three watches but they are in my jewelry case as they don't work any more. I don't bother wearing a watch any more.

I used to wear a watch all the time. I can't remember the
Ast time I wore one though. I would have bought a new watch instead of the band too

I wear a watch when I go out sometimes but not inside. Same as my wedding ring and engagement ring. The first time I happened to look down and I noticed my wedding ring was broken a bit. I could of loss my set of 55 years married. So have had it made together. Then a ring on top of that. As that finger is so small. My finger never got big the whole time of 55 years. The other fingers have. Arthritis.

I wear bracelets more when I go out. I figure if I need the time. I can ask someone or go to the library.
Today was a beautiful day. I was out over an hour. Sid and I walking. We have the park in preparation for the Ferris wheel and other things for three days. And then all August and Sept different singing groups. Mostly Rock, rap, jazz. I heard.

I haven't worn a watch in a long time...but recently got my hubby's hand me down Apple Watch, it's digital, but more important, it shows a slide show of all the pictures I have on my phone ;-).

I tell time mostly by my phone. It amazes me that I can even say that, the world sure has moved on hasn't it?

During the week I like an easy to read watch and not digital. I have a very dressy one which is not that easy to read, but it sure is pretty.I also still have one which I got as a gift from Jake. Needless to say, that one is a keeper.

I love big watches. I don't wear one anymore but have tried to get back at it. Easier to look at the wrist then to pull out the phone and check the time.

I've a 'thing' for timepieces ... but haven't worn a watch in years! During the weekday, I can check the time on my computer monitor or desk phone ... and most weekends I don't care!!!

PS - Don't mind them on others, but I was never one for dressy and delicate that one had to squint to see.

Never realized that so many others also have non-working watches as I do too! Not sure quite how many, but at least 10, most are battery powered. And still work even if some require a new battery and I wear them on occasion, but my current time model is a Fitbit to track activity and sleep and its rechargeable so no need to buy batteries. That said, I still enjoy wearing a watch and most of mine are oldies, including a spring wound one that belonged to my late mother...and still works fine!

Enjoyed the blonde joke. I love watches, I have several and am tempted to buy new ones often but I try really hard not too. I only wear one when I leave the house but I don't leave home without it.

I wear my Fitbit all the time, it doubles as a watch. I can choose clock faces and prefer analog. I have three other watches, all analog: One is gold, one is a silver bracelet/bead type, and the last reminds me of your favorite watch in size. I got it when we went to Disney World and it has Winnie the Pooh with his honey pot on the face. The last is the only one with a dead battery. I can't wait to read your sermon on batteries.
