No Tree for Me...

I should write a book,
There's no tree in my Nook.
It's been there for 20 years.
It's ok, there are no tears.
I wanted a change,
without spending all my change.
I bought my half price treasure
that with a few old things, gives me great pleasure.

I checked my prior posts on the Nook and found since 2009, I have  13 under NOOK label and it is mentioned in 47 other post. It is minus the tree this year for first time in 20 years and I love it. the candle ring has been around for 25 plus years, but sitting on the kitchen table some years and others staying packed in it cake tin.
I love my new starry light strings.
can you find me here?
YES! I do know it is STILL NOVEMBER..
I did wait until the day after Thanksgiving!  Easy Peasy decorating, I just added
1 glass tree,2 reindeer, 2 angels, 2 Santa's and the new nativity

240 starry lights in the nook this year

Wow, it looks so pretty. The rule here is that after the turkey has been eaten on Thanksgiving and the kitchen has been cleaned up, it is officially ok to put up Christmas decorations

It looks very Christmasy. The lights are such a nice touch.

I just love your starry lights and nook. Everything looks so pretty. The beautiful candle ring, the Santa Claus and reindeer are wonderful. The nativity scene was a great buy. I like your cute poem! Happy Sunday, enjoy your day!

Twinkle, twinkle . . . it's lovely tree or no tree.
With Thanksgiving being out of sync with Advent this year my OCD is in a dilemma over decorating.
I should adopt most everyone else's outlook and just go for it.

Very festive! The twinkly lights are always wonderful - whether on a tree or not!

I usually put my Christmas stuff out on Thanksgiving night or the day after....this time, I have still not gotten it out. Hoping today will be the day if I don't venture off in another direction! haha

I think this year is the most beautiful for your nook! I meant to order some of those lights when you first showed them to us but I was in the country and had limited Internet so I planned to shop Amazon when I got home. That didn’t happen because I forgot. I bought those pen things for iPads you suggested some time ago and really like them. I’m going to church now but I’m planning on sitting down and visiting Amazon when I get home!

I love your Nook but I especially love how shiny and sparkly you keep it.
I spy you over the ear of the cute little bear

I absolutely love your twinkle lights in the Nook. There is nothing like reflective glass to make everything look special.
Change is good but I'm still going to try to put up the tree again this year. I dislike doing it but am so happy when it's finished. We'll see.
We're going to so many Open Houses and get togethers that there is no time for us to have anything.
Guess I'm a bit tired this morning and a bit nostalgic.
Hubby and I stayed home from church. His hacking cough wouldn't have been appreciated.
We just now heard some very long, heavy thunder rumbles so I guess the rain is a comin'
"They" expect heavy snow in the mountains and a Winnie the Pooh Blustery Day up there. (Just a 2 hour drive from our house)
My Goodness, I didn't expect to write a novel. Have a good day.

Your Christmas area is just gorgeous! I do not think that you need a tree for Christmas.

I so love your starry lights...and your nook...you don't need a tree with it.

Your glass stuff looks like it came straight from a Beverly Hills store. I know you told me once where most of it came from, so it must be your skills at decorating, cleaning glass, taking pictures, and placing things just right.

Absolutely gorgeous. No tree for me either.

The Nook is beautiful. I love how the lights add that twinkle.

... nor me! I've a little crystal tree that sits atop a lighted wooden base that my mom bought me at the Mole Hole at St. Armand's Key years ago. Precious in my heart. And for that matter, isn't that where Christmas is all about?

PS - Tell me you didn't really count all 240 of those lights? (Sounds like something I might have done, myself! LOL)
